I've been reading that If you run it out of gas it just stops and won't crank! Has anyone ran into this issue? Any idea on how to prevent this from happening?

I'm just already stressed out from running out of washer fluid and I don't want another issue to worry about!

Not trying to be a smart arse, but,
You've answered your own question of "how to prevent this from happening".....DON'T RUN OUT OF GAS !!!!!!!
In 60 years of driving hundreds of vehicles, I have never run out of gas.....there is a gauge right in front of me telling me when gas is low and I need some more. Running out of gas is not an accident.....it is almost intentional....like your tempting fate trying to see how much further you can go.
Simple....pay attention to gauge and when it tells you to get more, than, get more.

I’ve heard something similar - that the fuel pump in the gas tank is cooled by the gas in the tank and that running the tank too low can cause big problems.

Is it true or BS? I don’t know but I don’t want to find out.

My truck warns me at 80km remaining and again at 40km. That’s plenty of time for me to do something about it.

That should be all you need but if you’re often in the middle of nowhere, carry a can of gas in the back and make sure you have that little funnel on board.

But I read on the internet that gauges go bad... What if mine is bad? How can I make sure it's really working?

I love this truck but all these possible issues that might never happen are really stressing me out!

I just checked the air in my tires. All of them were at 35 and one was at 34! How can I stop that from happening!? I've read on the internet that it's a big issue.

Make it a habit to fill up anywhere between half tank to quarter tank.

I NEVER go below 1/4 tank on ANY of my vehicles because if there is an emergency or unexpected schedule change, I do not need to worry about filling up. Secondary, the fuel pump on new vehicles are cooled by the fuel surrounding them, it will help them last longer this way.

The fuel gauge reliability is the least of your worries on any vehicle, you surely have a greater chance of a flat tire than your fuel gauge going bad.

I had to check your posting history to make sure you were not a troll account, if you have this mindset, don't modify your truck. This truck is probably one of the most reliable out there aside from the transmission issues, there really is no pattern of failures for these trucks I am aware of.

Your just interpreting the gauge info wrong.....your not down in one tire, your overinflated in three tires !!!

Seriously, if you're worried about the go-fluid, then just but an IBC full of go-fluid in the bed and you'll good for like.. 15 times the go-fluid in the tank.
You mean this?

Now, that’s an extended range fuel tank!
