The driver side, front door of my '21 XLT is out of alignment. Not flush with the rear door. It is fine at the top but gets progressively worse towards the bottom. I recently read about adjusting the fender's position relative to the hood, is there something I can do to adjust the doors as well?

The picture makes it look like it just needs to be closed “harder”, like when you close your door but it was too light to actually close.

If it’s that far out of alignment that should be a dealer’s body shop fix. I don’t think fender adjustments will help.

I''m just curious. Did you buy it like this or did it happen over time?

Hi WS,

Take this back to the dealer.....Some Ting Wong here... I think you are not fully latching the door which makes me wonder...this would likely never gotten out of the Assembly plant, so not fully closing the door is, JMO, where this is.... This just does not add up...

Report back what the dealer did...

I have only had the truck for ten days. Wasn’t real concerned about it until recently.

I certainly don’t expect fender adjustments to help.

Thanks for the reply, Phil. It certainly seems like the door is firmly latching, but just off a little. I don’t know. I guess I need to find a local dealer, where I got the truck from is not very convenient.

Thanks again.

Starting to wonder now if it’s getting worse.

Hi WS,

This is really sad when you do not have ready access to a dealer, as many folks are very far from a dealer. This is why I strives when I had Ranger to get it done right every time....Keep the F'ing truck out of the dealer's service bays... Good Luck...

Best,
Phil
