Did the fronts today, only took 98k miles. Took me about 2 hours with the crappiest autozone spring compressor I ever rented. These springs are so soft it compressed with minimal effort. Also did the outer tie rods and end links while I was there.

long story short, if your on the fence just do it. Amazing ride difference, and not firm at all, just more controlled. I did the first notch, 0.6 inches. Its obviously taller but just makes the rake less pronounced. Stock tires look fine still.

Pics please. Looking at doing the same. I want just a hair removed from the rake as (1) I tow and (2) I like the wheel well space and want to add just one size larger tires to save weight. I like my MPG.

I'm at 104k with stock shocks... I need to replace them ASAP but I'm on the fence. Idk if I want to get the bilsteins and swap the springs or fork over the money for a set of eibachs with springs already installed to make the install easier.

2 hours is quite impressive. Did you use a lift?

No, just sat on the floor. Not my first go at doing these on Fords. Nothing crazy really. Popped off the end links, CV nut, and outer tire rods, because I replaced them.

I tried taking a picture, zero justice is done. Heck I cannot really tell in person. If I wanted bigger tires I would have gone the 1.2 option honestly. I could tell hopping in the first time. And the rare time I park next to another ranger.

I confess that I have not done this work on a Ford before, but simply looking at the design it looks simpler to go in from the bottom LCA than from the top. Everyone here goes in from the top, but I have seen Aussies going in from the bottom.

I surely am missing something, but for the life of me I don't see it.

I did pop the upper ball joint loose too. Forgot that. Fell right out basically
