Are the FOX Performance 2.0 Coil-Over IFP Front Shocks worth the money to put on my 2022 for ranger xlt fx4?

okay i will heavily consider this as an option. I'm just wondering for longevity how is the durability on these shocks? will they outlive the motor?
Unless the engine is complete junk on your truck, there is no way a single shock or strut regardless of manufacture will outlast the engine. Shocks and struts are a normal wear item. It is common for most shocks and struts for normal daily use on the street to be replaced every 50,000 mi. When going off-road that can be reduced by a lot

even the stock shocks should be replaced ever 50k miles? Can the ones you recommended get rebuild or would I have to buy all new ones every 50k?

The Dobinsons can be rebuilt and yes the Factory Shocks and Struts are going to be worn out around 50,000 miles for a street driven vehicle

so im currently debating what mods i should add to my ranger. I have decided on a chase rack, bigger cb antenna and 4-6 more off road lights on the chase rack. I was thinking about bigger tires on the stock rims because i like the rims not the tires so much. I was wondering if the fox shocks are worth it as an investment. For reference I'm going to attempt to put these on myself some how even though i do not have a lift for the truck. (service lift like a frame rail lift for garage) I was wondering if in my case with some use on rural often not paved or lightly (crappy job done in like the 60s) and pot hole filled roads and some various farm work out in felids if it. Would be worth it to buy some fox shocks and get rid of my older ones or like sell them or something? Any input would help thank you!

Don't know if you got these yet but In my case definitely not worth it. If you are doing it yourself it is but the cost of the maintenance is the same price to buy new ones in California so I'll be spending $1000+ every 40,000 to 50,000 miles I do zero off roading and there already needing a rebuild.

Keep in mind that most Shocks and Struts are normally going to wear out in 50,000 miles regardless of brand.

Yeah but factory replacement would only cost me $650 for both Fox $580 for one side definitely not worth if you hardly go off roading. Don't get me wrong I love them but they are expensive if you can rebuild them yourself then they are worth it because it's 75% cheaper.

I think that price is the exchange program I’ve seen which seems like a rip off.. for $580 they send you a rebuilt unit and you send them the one that needs service.. that may not be the case you’ve encountered, but I have seen that price related to a service solution for the Fox 2.0’s to minimize related downtimes.

The prices I’ve seen for rebuild for the Fox 2.0’s ranges from 100-225 per shock..pretty sure shock surplus advertised 125-150 per shock then add shipping rates.
(Unfortunately shipping cost will also be an additional unless you are close to a shop that provides the service.).

yeah I would still have to pay the price to have someone take them off to send them in and then pay to have them installed I do minor things when it comes to my truck oil changes spark plugs etc shocks I wouldn't even attempt that's why the price is high mostly labor but I'm still going to check out shock surplus thanks ??

It took me about 4 hours to install all 4 fox shocks and is easy to do on your own. Just be sure to push in the axle so you dont pull the cv joint apart. I put 40k miles on mine including pretty good offroad time and they were still fine when I switched to king 2.5s

Ah that makes much more sense… having a shop do the Removal and Replacement absolutely jacks up the price..
That’s obviously a misunderstanding on my part.
