Love it ! Those look awesome on your truck. I had considered those lights. Then I got a bug up my ass to go with 4 cubes instead. Now,,, I'm going through a "phase" were I cant stop adding lights. Fogs and another set of grill bumper lights (RC) are next. I may change it in the future and get the ones you bought.

The dual pods on your truck look great! They certainly give it a nice road presence, and I'd imagine a bit more versatility to hit the brush on the edges of the road. One of your older posts almost convinced me to go with duals, but I may still have to copy your backup lights.

I will say, those large reflectors on the 5" do a nice job throwing the majority of the light down the road, while still exceeding the OEM fogs (with LED bulbs swapped in) by a healthy margin.

Any wind noise from the pods when driving at speed?

Additional noise on a single round pod seems negligible at ≈ 85 mph.
I live in a windy bit of High Desert (Mohave County, AZ.) and experience far more wind noise out of my tires, hood, body/cab, and/or bed rack (when it's installed).

Received my tunes over the weekend and flashed the truck today. This time, I rolled the window down and did it from outside of the truck.

I'm really loving these lights. I use them every chance I get. I'm amazed by how many people drive at night with their headlights off. I'm able to get their attention. I've also had to educate several idiots who like driving down the road with their high beams on. They're all blind now.

The backup light rig cost me about $20.
The bracket cost about $28.
The 2nd bracket used was meant for a Bronco and cost about $59.
I posted another link to the brackets I would buy (cheaper - $32) if I were to do it again on another truck.

My leather interior adventure continues...

Today's mission:

IMG_3760.jpeg

Armrest is done for the most part.

Just have to let the cement set fully and I'll install it tomorrow.

Lots of clips to hold things in place.

I initially used the binder clips and then switched to clothes pins after the cement had set for an hour or so. Still using the binder clips in areas that have lots of tension on them. I was afraid the binder clips would leave a permanent mark in the leather if I left them on too long.

The compound curve at the front of the armrest is an absolute PITA to get smooth. I have a bit of a wrinkle that I'll have to steam out after it's installed.

I just put the leather on top of the existing armrest cover. It gave it a bit more padding.

They do need more padding. Still looking good so far!
Nicely done.

And Voila!

The binder clips left some imprints in the leather that I'm hoping will go away once I steam it. They are already MUCH better than when I first removed the clips.

It feels great, and the little bit of extra padding is indeed noticeable.

Overall very happy with how it turned out.

Edit: If you ever get the hankering to recover your armrest, HERE is the best guide I found for it.

After I get the interior finished, I am likely going to do the Redline steering wheel cover as well.

I've never felt that the quality of the factory steering wheel leather is very good, so I'll be looking to bring it up to the rest of the interior.

The only casualty I had in Moab was the exhaust muffler broke off. I had the MBRP turn down and, before our trip, we noticed a small crack on the inlet tub of the muffler. Driving home, we started hearing this *very* loud noise, very suddenly. We pulled off and saw the muffler tip dragging on the ground. All by about an inch of muffler had cracked and it dropped down. It had also fallen out of the exhaust hanger. Had a local shop weld in a new muffler. It's about 4" longer than the MBRP and much better material. The side benefit is that... its a lot quieter now. I am quite happy with how it turned out.
