Installed. Hardest part is getting it out of the package.

Ha Ha! My challenge was using a short handled 3/8 inch socket with the T50 Torx head and getting those two bolts off the tailgate! After that it was easy peezy!

Have you heard from @MarkP recently? I haven't heard from him since his second Email to the list of folks who signed up for his Damper a week or so agon. Even though I bought one of the DEE ZEE Dampers I'll buy one from Mark because I signed up and feel comitted to go through with it. Decide which is better and go from there.

I emailed Mark today and told him I was committed to him, my word and honor are worth more than a few bucks. Apparently he was blocked here because he is not a vendor, rules are rules I guess. If there is a different story then I would like to hear it.

Hopefully they get things sorted. All his threads about the damper were nuked and you can't send him a PM. He did log in about a day and a half ago.

I think it’s great that Ford decided to do something that they should have done from the onset...but, I’m going to support Mark. He went out on a limb to support our community with his own money to provide us a product that we were all clamoring for.

American designed, American sourced, American made; money that will directly support him and his family.

DeeZee strung a bunch of community members out when the Ranger first launched...I haven’t forgotten.

I'm 100% with you on this one. I'd much rather support another person who is more of the small business type like myself. I committed to Mark P's damper and I'm a man of my word. So it might cost me an extra few bucks, oh well. DeeZee makes a bunch of crap products and strung people along for months and months on this part. Not saying their tailgate damper is crap, but how hard was that for a huge parts company to design this thing? Mark P figured it out in the matter of a couple weeks. It sucks that his thread is gone, and while I understand the rules, its not like the guy is going to be making a bunch of money off of his parts. So far he has been much more active and responsive than a forum sponsor who claimed they had the dampers coming.

Thank you . I just wanted to take the time and try to make these aftermarket looking pieces look “somewhat” factory. At first I was going to PTM the hardware but went this route instead since I already had a can on hand and no N6 Blue. Everything matches with the other factory black hardware quite nicely though .

It looks like powder coat but its VHT Roll Bar & Chassis spray paint
