Picked up an RCI bed rack made for a Tacoma for 75 bucks. It’s a lil wide but RCI is hooking me up with some adapters that will allow it to fit right. I originally wanted an 18” rack too and this one is a 12”. With the adapters it’ll be 14” which I like better anyways. Facebook marketplace score ??

I changed the oil and filter at 24,750 miles. The Ranger is coming up on 6 years old, and this is the 7th time I've changed it. Even though it has been about 4,000 miles since the last time, The oil life monitor said 8% was left.

Finally got the ccw caliper tool and some time to finish the job. Driver side was worse but so much quicker now that I had everything ready to go. Test drove and bedded brakes and we are good.

No more clamps or cube tools for me. Too old to waste time futzing around to make do without the proper tools anymore.

no joke just went through the caliper turn in process last month. Not any fun. Glad you fought through it!

finally got around to changing the front/rear diff fluid as well as the transfer case. everything went very smoothly. the fill and drain bolt on the rear diff were looser than i expected, and there was some black grime around the fill bolt. unsure of what that suggests. could be road grime. i cleaned it up and went about my work. i used motorcraft fluids spec'd by ford because i didn't want to think very hard about it. i thought it would take 15-30 minutes and ended up taking 1.5-2 hours. i overthought some steps and just took my time. used the harbor freight fluid pump and it worked a treat!

anyway, here's some pictures from the journey.

(floor was on a tad of a incline, but i checked the frame and it was level as if it was on a lift)

Rear seat leather is done.

The leather quality feels better than the Ranger Lariat or the ZR2 I drove yesterday.

Next up is the passenger front seat.

Here are a few pics of the completed rear seat

The leather still has some wrinkles from where it was folded into the box, but they are smoothing out nicely.

The center armrest, which I thought would be easy, was a pain.

Also included a pic of the seat foam.

The foam is marked where the hog rings go.

I'll post more details of the project when it's complete.

Here's a stock stone color rear seat

Took off the front air dam and factor skid plates to put on the RCI skid plate. Didn't finish as one of the parts (speed clip plate) didn't quite match what was expected. Plus, the bolt didn't seem to want to go through it. The thread spacing on the plate doesn't seem to match the bolt. Might be fine and will hopefully finish tomorrow.
