What did you let go to get your Ranger?

I gave up my bought new 1988 Ranger XLT, V6, 5 Speed, RWD, 6 foot bed with 250k miles. The aerodynamic and size difference between the 1988 and 2021 is amazing. I got $3k for the old guy.

Car was tuned to run E30, 93, and 91 octanes (via map-switching). Had lower downpipes (secondary cat delete), full catback exhaust, drop-in air filters, big heat exchanger (intercooler), aluminum skid plates. Aftermarket 19x9.5 wheels paired with 245(f) and 275(r). Along with a few cosmetic goodies like a rear diffuser, lip spoiler, and dark tints.

I sold my 2018 Escape to Carvana when my Ranger came in. Idon't miss that car at all. Less room than our 2009 Mariner, I felt really cramped in it and I'm not a big guy. I looked through a bunch of albums and this was the only photo of that car.
