Lariat. Heated mirrors. Both side mirrors have a “fog” (for lack of a better word) in the center now. No pics as I keep forgetting to post this question and it’s too late here now.

I’ve tried to clean it off. Trust me. Only thing I can think of is, is it something to do with the heated mirrors? Never had it happen on any other vehicle.

anyone else having this? Thoughts? Opinions? General bullshit? (Might as well invite it. Gonna get it regardless. ?)

edit: Added a pic. Hard to get but finally got one that picked it up. Pic makes it look worse than it is, which is good for trying to explain it to you fine folks.
Btw, you are looking at the mirror glass but it’s reflecting the door.

I would have to see what you're talking about. Chances are you might have to replace the glass itself. If not mistaken Ford is one of the few out there that are still kind enough to offer the glass by itself. How easy it is to change might be a different story

I’ll try to get a pic of it during the day. Might be hard to capture in a pic.
Doesn’t bother me driving. It’s just weird that it’s occurred.

Side effect of too much 303?
Odd that it's in the center. I would think fogging would occur from the edges inward if caused by the lamination separating or foreign substance getting in.
On other makes sideview mirror glass replacements I've done, the glass is held to the rest by a plastic frame glued to the glass and just snaps on. I've used a wide blade screwdriver to pop it off and then disconnect the 2 terminals for the heating element . Wide trim tool would probably be better. Just snap the new one in place. Have replacement in hand before removing in case it breaks.
Maybe something in this thread will help with removal, didn't take the time to read the whole thing https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/how-to-add-lariat-heated-mirrors-to-an-xlt.10664/...

Right now it doesn’t bother me. Other than wondering what and why? So I’ll just keep on keeping on versus putting any work into it.

Friday yet?:

Not sure this YT shows your same problem, but it shows something similar to a Jeep's heated side mirrors I think.

Jeep heated mirror fix

At least an education on the construction I learned!

Good luck!
