Got up to 58 today and we spent all afternoon horsing around in the little snow we have left. Unfortunately he found a pile of deer parts someone tossed in the creek. He gobbled some of it down before i could get to him. Then it turned into him trying to get back to the deer. Had a good time with him until that incident. He fetches sticks like a boss now. Amazing how retrievers just know how to do it. Zero training, i just throw a stick and he brings it right back.

Update: I thought for sure he was going to be throwing up after eating that deer but it didn't seem to affect him.

Little Kota on a sLowe's outing to get some ice melt. And I swear, those 50 pound bags get heavier every year! =p

For our small driveway, 2 bags are enough for a storm today and another Sunday (each with a measly 2-4"'). =(

At this rate, my snow chains should get hung up and retired. Speaking of which, when I bought them October 2022, they were $209. Today, the same ones list for $329!!! Dang, that's more than a 50% increase in 2 years!

Anyhow, Kota's 9 and a half years old but acts like a 2 year old - full of energy and loves the snow.

Congratulations. Did I miss a thread about a new family addition. Both of you look very happy.
Edit, l missed the introduction but found it . Our Corgi sheds like crazy and we call it Corgi glitter. Lucky little guy to have found a family like yours.

LOL, this one's a shedder too! Great time to have dark fabrics in the Ranger! =)

I like Corgi glitter, I think that's gonna become a term at our house.

Kota is 9.5 years old. His human mom passed in Fayetteville, NC and the family didn't want him. He went to a pound and was going to be put down. But a group in NH snagged him and we were the 13th application for him.

He's a great little guy, as all dogs are. =)

Thanks for asking and I have lots of new R-value in the Ranger (and house) from all his Corgi glitter!!! =D

Sometimes stress like that can cause bad shedding for a while. I bet it settles down after a couple weeks. Amazon has big packs of lint rollers ?. Our Corgi has a double layer of fur and we have to rake her every couple days that yields enough fur to knit a pair of socks ?. She has turned into a big couch potato that hates Amazon trucks and drivers for some reason. Loves everyone else.

Her grooming looks great!

And we were wondering about stress with Kota, man he's a shedding fiend! =D

He was with the dog rescue fostered for a month and he's only been with us for just a tad longer, so he doesn't know which way is up.

He'll get it after a while, he's very happy and energetic (some of which could be nervous energy).

Unlike Cheech, he loves to ride in the Ranger. Cheech liked being with us but would shake for hours on car trips, poor little guy.

Dogs are the best, aren't they. Your Corgi looks so fit and happy. Great bed too! I suspect, she might be a bit loved! =)

Because the Amazon emblem looks like a giant penis.

Wow, this is a great thread. Here's one of my stepson in Garfield (21 XLT, Cyber Orange SCAB). He loves rides. My actual child is my avatar, but she gets car sick.

Sweet! I would seriously consider a safety harness. One hard brake and doggy will be eating that dash.
