So I was just minding my own business while traveling down the road when all of the sudden I heard a loud pop and behold my front windshield had been defiled by some foreign object causing 2 small cracks, damn it!! My question now is, should I replace the windshield or just have the cracks repaired. I kind off like have the “build sticker” and the bottom “ranger” tag on the factory windshield.
What does a repair look like? Anyone had this happen to them? Thoughts???

Duke, I love your optimism, but I’m just hoping the tech can replace the new one without issue ?

In VA cracks longer than some amount, maybe an inch, will not pass inspection. I had a spider web crack repaired on my old toyota, and it worked for a while until it started to spread, and it finally didn't pass. It may be bigger than an inch, but I know at some point it won't pass.

No inspection in South Carolina anymore, unfortunately.. I wish we still had inspections!

Another vote for Safelite. I've been using them for years and they've been great both in AZ & in MA. What's nice is there mobile repair will come right to you anywhere you are. I've had them repair my F150's right on the construction site and at my house and they recalibrate the camera right on site too.
