The most recent mod is one you can't see, but can definitely feel. I had Yukon 4.88 gears installed in the differentials. The truck drives like it did stock, but... obviously, I am not stock. This was the best mod, in terms of drivability, that I have done to the truck.

In other news, when I did an oil change, I learned that the dealer has cross threaded one bolt and left out 7 others. I've ordered all the replacements and I will be installing them soon. I just need to find the time to crawl under the truck and install them.

I've been focused on a few maintenance items that needed to be done.

I received my ARK splash guards, install should be this weekend. These are inner fender liners. One of mine is missing from the dealer (yay dealer!) and these have a magnetic flap for oil filter changes.

The running lights in my bumper have been white, and I really wanted yellow to match my fogs. I swapped the covers over to SAE fog yellows and I am really happy with them. I will get a picture of the fogs and running lights at the same time, but the fogs are my DRLs and it needs to be in drive (which makes it hard to do alone).

A little over a year and a half ago, I ripped the flare off this fender. I finally got it replaced. Its really nerve wracking to cut up a $153 part before its even installed.

I'm at ~52,000 now. I am working from home again, so... not a lot of miles. My wife and I had a kid at the end of 2023, and he had some health concerns (he's all good now), so we didn't go out last year. He's strong enough now, so he will be able to handle the bumps of the trails. This year is going to be a lot more wheeling.

Time to upgrade my suspension. BP-51s will give me that ability to make adjustments. Given my build, these were made just for me. ARB bumper, skids, winch, and now suspension.

license plate LEDs because they're the only non-LED on my truck and it was making Andy mad.

with the right tools, I can do the front suspension in just over 3 hours. That includes a dinner break and taking time to brush my kiddos teeth. It’s amazing what the right tools will do! I borrowed @AndyMedic’s Milwaukee impact. Turns out a $500 impact does a lot better than a $120 impact. Weird! The axle nuts only took 30 seconds total for both sides. Now they’re torques to 220 ft/lbs instead of holy f-ing balls.

these ride great. I’m glad @AndyMedic decided to upgrade to Kings (see above). I’ll tackle the rear shocks tomorrow. Right now, I’m tired and enjoying a cigar.

I'm not going to bullshit you, man. That truck is a work of art. Incredibly well done. Wow.

I spent 3 long nights after work really getting the wiring setup. I installed the SDHQ ground terminal, the MSD plate, and then wiring it all up so it looked good. I am really, really happy with how this turned out. I still need to hook up the winch to the isolator (the wire gauge is too thick and the crimpers are massive so I need second set of hands to crimp the new connectors on.

I missed this… still waiting to install. Truck is headed to the shop this weekend because the front diff is leaking and the rear axle seals are leaking after the gear install. Warranty will cover it, but it’ll probably be in the shop for a week or two. Such is life.
