This was all about the OE M210 from the Bronco. The M190 is different. Shop was confident in the clearances on my front, so... I am confident too.

I will say this, I chose a gear ratio that is available in the Dana FDU. God forbid something happens to my M190, I can swap in the FDU and keep the rear the same. This was by design.
I spoke to that engineer himself and he said it will fit whatever came stock with the bronco m190. As far as I can find 4.46 is the biggest gear you can get stock with the M190. Take that a you will. Maybe Yukon designed their higher gear differently with enough clearance. That's all I can tell you.

I understand what you were told, I also have used Yukon in the past with high success and I don't think they'd release a product that will cause failure. Again though, that's why I chose a gear that would work with the Dana FDU, if I needed to change out the front. (The mega super M210 replacement)

Good to know they checked. Let us know how it feels with the new gearing when you get it. I know in my Mustang going from 2.80 to 3.80's felt nice, not CRAZY different but more snappy for sure. I can't remember but maybe .2-.3 lower 1/8th mile times.

this is a game changer and probably the best mod I’ve made so far.

the truck runs like it did stock. Now I have 34” tires instead of 30” tires. The drivability is great. I averaged 19 mpg on the drive home, which is 3 better than before. Obviously, this isn’t a long term observation, but I’ll keep monitoring.

I’m incredibly happy!

This is a mod I have wanted to do since I bought and started modifying the truck. I've done gears on old trucks and I knew the benefits. I'm just thrilled that they are finally available.

I hear yah! I just pulled a 7k trailer from California to Illinois on 33", stopping every 70 minutes to refill the tank. Between that and my truck camper, it was driving me nuts. I'd been holding out for just the gears for the front so I could do the front & back at the same time with air lockers, but finally gave up on the perfect being the enemy of the good.

That sounds expensive ? for me! I'm getting ready to raise funds for the tune and cat, and this guy wants to put me in the driver's seat of a $3k+ regeared Ranger ?

Sounds good to me ?

I have NEVER claimed I was a good influence. In fact, I have been pretty vocal about helping others spend their money.

There have been some questions about RPM at a given speed. Here is 75 and 80. I don't do those speeds often, though the highway to my house is 75. Its comfortable to cruise at 75. The average mpg started before I got the gears. I topped off yesterday and will keep an eye on it. So far, I'm getting 20.x mpg since the fill up and I've driven about 90 minutes. I was getting 15-16.
