Thanks, DukeCanBuildit.
Got news on both of them at the same time. Worst of is I can only do so much. My mind is all over the place, with many dreams destroyed with them. Cancer truly sucks, and I wish no one dealt with it.
As you’ve likely seen in other posts, this is a great community of folks who are more than happy to be there for other members. I’m sure you have a great support system at home and a real brotherhood at work but feel free to reach out if needed.

What's up everyone.

Got a few decals that had come in the mail, as well as some badges I was still pending. Spent the whole day working on the truck adding on a few pieces. Made quite a bit of progress. Here's the end results so far.
Need to redo the Racecraft on the passenger side, as I applied it a bit crooked.
Also need to remove and reinstall the Tailgate spoiler as that is also fugged. That's for another day..

Just got the Allied Expedition grill, Putco lower grill. Need to swap out grills and place badges on that as well.
Got the Smoked Raxiom corner lights on hand.
Also got the Hubcentric rings and tires.
Wheels won't arrive until March 26. Blyat.
I'll try to get the remaining pieces on Sunday.
Got that day off.

Will be converting to all LED lights (front) as well as third brake light later tonight. I know it's been done before and it's nothing new, but I want to upgrade it and make it look a bit more upscale and sportier.

I'll have next Saturday off, so I'll try to place the remaining side decals on then.

But for now, Enjoy!!
She's coming along.

That RaceCraft one is incredibly crisp. The Saleen badge looks perfect there too. =)

Do you use any special technique to get them on there so nicely?

I've done vinyl with water with a drop of baby shampoo, but don't know anything about placing badges like your Saleens.

If you have any pointers, I'd love your advice.

I have 2 "Longhorn Edition" badges I'd like to place under my XL fender vents like you did but I am certain I'll get them crooked.

Thanks MXGOLF for the compliment amd prayers. You're right, family will always come first. I'll try my best to complete this project with my wife's help whenever possible, so I'll always have some part of her with me.

Hey everyone.
Been gone for a bit and I apologize, there's been quite a bit of life changes and obstacles, while finishing up a Honda Supermoto and a Yamaha Neo Cafe Racer, both my mom and wife got diagnosed with Cancer, but I digress..

The KMC rims were a fiasco. Gave up on that idea, and went crazy. Got a new set of wheels for the Ranger in 22 inch. I thought they'd be a tad big, but between wheel and tire combo, it fits and fills in perfectly. If I lower it 2/4 that'll be the last touch it needs to get that sporty factory look.

Had to open up the bore a bit. Took them to a machine shop, and now it fits perfect.
Perfect width, diameter and offset.
Looks killer. Got a lot of looks and a lot of compliments.
Best of all, no rubbing, and still soaks up bumps relatively well.

Truck’s coming along nicely, I think I can picture the final result (with the reference provided in the previous posts).. personally I think those wheels will be a fine change and be a improvement form the original idea.
All of us here agree cancer is a punk b!tch.. and it’s never easy when it comes up, keep your spirits up buddy. Prayers for you and your family. Take good care of them.
Your trucks gonna be beautiful when it’s done and worth waiting for.

Thanks, but I didn't really have any special techniques. To try and get the best results in laying down the straightest position possible, I just used a strip of blue painters tape and eyeball it. I reused the same strip of painter's tape on both sides of the fenders to ensure the length is the same, like a template.

The straight edge of the tape provided me a line to follow and place the emblems. I used the Amazon Special 3M double sided tape. The emblems aren't going anywhere.

The small decals were placed without water or anything. My wife actually helped me place the Saleen decals. We used water and squeegee. We used the body lines of the door as a guide. They're not perfect, but you really got to look at it to find the faults, which are minor stretching.
After 2 days or so, the bubbles disappeared and layed down completely flat.

I'd use a laser level. Align it with the bottom of the fender duct, then crank it down to where you want the emblem.

And OP, sending good thoughts to you and your family. All your truck needs is to be lowered to look right.

A laser level! I've never used one, but it sounds like I can make it parallel to other things (since our bed rake makes everything unlevel).

Thanks, now I have an excuse to get a new tool! And it sounds like exactly what I need!

Thanks!

That's actually a very good idea. It's a more, sophisticated and advanced approach than I had. Now I'll have to pony up the cash to buy one, ?
Surely I can use it on other projects around the home. Thanks for the prayers, shovelhd.

I wanted to thank everyone who pitched in with the great ideas, and prayers for my family. If anyone ever finds their way down near the border in Texas, we'll get some drinks and tacos.

I have a cheap Pittsburg level from Harbor Freight and a cheap tripod. I only use it a few times a year so I don't need much. Make sure that you get one that's self leveling.

All the best to you. I lost my dad to cancer two years ago; I hope that it turns out better for you.

Whereabouts in Texas are you? A buddy of mine is moving to Bryan at the end of September; he's a retired San Diego County Deputy Sheriff. Drives a Silverado, but....
