See below video that come from the engine when it cold starts. The rattle is a lot more noticeable before the engine warms up but I can easily hear it in the cabin & it is fairly annoying. Was wondering if anyone knew what this is or if they know how to fix this issue.

The sound definitely comes from the drivers side of the engine & increases in speed along with the engine as well. I've verified the oil levels are fine in it.

I don't hear anything in your vid that sounds like a rattle....
But, these 4 banger turbo's, when started cold, sound like a washing machine....just the nature of it. Mine sounds like a rattle can upon a cold start, but smooths out as it warms up.
All my fluids are OK and the truck gets used hard when I tow....and no problems at all in 3 years.

Yeah I was worried it might be hard to hear in the video. Usually it wouldn't bother me but I can hear it while driving

After it warms up have you put it in park/idle, opened hood and heard it ?
Even when warm/hot these engines are a bit noisy.
If it's a rattle or grinding that gets worse as you drive or accelerate it might be something worth having a dealer look at it.
Does your hood have a insulating pad attached ? If not, the engine noises will sound even worse..

Haven't tried that yet. I just bought the truck a week ago at 24K miles & drove it home to NC from OH. I did notice they had the new oil change in & filled it up too much by about a quart. The noise started randomly & hasn't gone away since I cleaned up the oil level.

It doesn't sound like "Uncle Rod" knocking to me. These DFI engines upon cold startup have a crazy injector tick as the truck is working on providing temperature. If you say it smooths out after the engine has warmed up then you're good to go.

A fix to the issue would be additional sound deadening, though, you've got a 2019 Lariat so you should have an OE engine cover included with your truck. That would be about as far as I'd personally go... but if it really bothers you, take it to an audio shop and see what they can do for you?

I am with steve on this one. These engines are super noisy. Mine does the same on start up. Like an old fashioned engine with rod and rockers with a misadjusted rocker. The engine just rattles a lot. Not to mention the angry fan noise at take off from a cold start. Plus drive down the an alley with the windows down. The tranny makes all kinds of buzzing noises.
Not trying to make light of your situation, but these trucks have so many electronic parts all you here is solenoids and actuators buzzing and actuating.
Your engine to my ear sounds normal. Mine is the same.

Appreciate the help from you & @Cabose-1. Unfortunately I'm the type of person to get annoyed by sounds like that but I'll maybe see if I can do something to remove that sound specifically by going to an audio shop or something. I can still hear it once the truck warms up otherwise it wouldn't really bother me if I knew it would only last a few minutes when I start it.

My bad ears can't hear anything but the fan. May be HPFP (High pressure fuel pump)

Check your tire pressure too. They're also probably overfilled by a quart each as well. ?

Was noise there before you dealt with the oil level?
