It appears you are pre-wired for the Perimeter Plus Alarm System, taps into the backside of the DLC (OBD Port)

I just looked through my 2021 Ranger electrical manual and I think that connector may be C2239 for Direct Current/Alternating Current (DC/AC) Inverter.

Reading more, you could drop F81 in the Battery Junction Box (BJB) from 40A down to 30A, then use that red wire in place of the yellow-orange. Run your own blue wire to the 7-way's TBC pin.

On the braking input, you could do like the Ford EBC and use the brake light output as the trigger, or maybe see if you have a violet/white wire you can tap from BCM-C2280H at pin 13 for brake pedal activated (not advised with adaptive cruise or emergency braking systems). Looks like either of those will be +12V when activated, so if your controller wants a grounded brake pedal input, you may need to use a relay to reverse that.

Update- I will confirm with Ford but I did find that the Ford Trailer brake control Module is for this harness . The Redarc controller will attach to this.

I believe that module is the Trailer Module (TRM) up under the dash on the passenger side. It is for the trailer lights, but not the trailer brake.

Yes- I can confirm that is the TRM - Trailer Module, not the TBC - Trailer Brake Control
A separate unit, for lighting control only - mounted on the passenger side under the glovebox and under the TCU (TCU mounts on top of the TRM)
TCU= Telecommunications Control Unit

The harness you have pic posted is for the DCAC Invertor Module, it is used for the AC Plug in the back seat (console) if equipped.
From the pic, the wire pinout is exact including the wire gauge size.

Ref: Your connector and the Pin Out of that connector and then look at the connection point of the unit - All the alignment tabs - Line-Up

You are going to have to install the pigtail kit to add the trailer brake controller.

100%, that plug is for the DC/AC Inverter.

The picture of the module you are showing is not the same module.

If referencing this - correct

This is the TRM (Trailer Module) its mounted under the Passenger Side Kick Panel
It has nothing to do with Trailer Brakes only lighting output, trailer connected (current sense) and trailer charging output.

For the TBC - Trailer Brake Controller (It will be visually different) depending on what aftermarket brand you have.

The Ford Branded (Redarc / Lumen) TBC will have 2 modules vs 1 module

The TBC mounts under the drivers side dash near the brake pedal, the TRM is mounted on the passenger side under the kick panel - 2 Completely Separate Modules

If referencing the (Dead End) Connector that is part of the factory wiring harness.

The only connector in that general area with a noted (large gage wire) is C2239 and that feeds the DCAC Inverter (If optioned) with the Rear Console (AC-Power Port) the inverter will be installed.

So it appears you do not have the (Option) but Ford left the connector on the harness or its just simply disconnected from the Inverter (If its installed)
