Welcome Christofer - I’m a Vag guy too - just ask Mrs. DukeCanBuildit.I'm Chris from Cape Cod and this is my new to me 2021 Ranger Lariat, FX4, tow, 501A, Securicode, slush mats, factory hard tonneau. I needed to get out of my VW GTI and into a truck, but I wasn't giving up LED lighting, heated leather seats, SXM, and Android Auto. This one is kind of a unicorn. I bought it from a dealer in Long Island. It was a one owner, 3 year lease return, where the leasee was the dealer's sales manager. All maintenance was done on time. Everything was included, like both keys, manuals, Securicode key card, etc. 25K miles, $36K out the door. I rented a car on the Cape, drove it to Bridgeport CT, took the ferry, and drove to the dealership, then turned around and went the same way home. Clean, low mileage trucks like this are like houses around here. They sell in a day or two. You gotta move fast and be willing to be flexible. I bought it sight unseen with a return guarantee. Needless to say, it's not going back.
I've been a VAG guy pretty much my whole life although I did own a 1999 Ranger SuperCab 4.0L 5 speed. Great truck, another unicorn. VAG has a diagnostic/modification system called VAGCOM that is a lot like Forscan, so I'm very familiar and comfortable with hex programming and software mods in general. I'm going through the Forscan threads to narrow down what I'd like to do.
See you on the forums.
