Bump Stop Replacement

Is this deterioration of bump stop normal wear or an indication of suspension problem ? I tow a 3,800# travel trailer couple times a year and do not go off road. If it needs to be replaced, any suggestions ? Not looking to upgrade, just a rookie on suspension issues.

That's just casting flash, no problem there.

If you really want to replace them, a set of SumoSprings in the blue variety will serve you well, but I don't see any need to in that pic unless you want a bit of an upgrade.

I first noticed that when replacing the rear shocks and thought WTF?!?

Soupie had less than 2,000 miles but I had towed a car transport with way too much tongue weight. I wondered if that had caused this "damage". =(

But the forum set me straight. Still though, they do look mangled don't they?

Leave them be all together. With that particular trailer setup correctly you should not have to change bump stops

I think if you got a Damper and became one of the "Cool Group" him-who-shall-not-be-named-who-fled-to-Arkansas would give you a bit of leeway....maybe give you a severe tongue lashing, but surly not Ban you !!!
