Recently bought a set of European tow mirrors. Does anyone have any advice for changing the molex connectors to the American style. Which wires, where, anything. I’ve seen a few wiring diagrams that are difficult to read. I have a 2022 XLT with BLIS that I don’t need for these mirrors

First question, why did you buy a set of European tow mirrors, when Clear View make some that are plug and play for our NA trucks.

Because I don’t like the look or want to spend that much. Either answer the question if you have anything helpful or kick rocks

Really! Ask a simple question and get insults? Hope someone can answer your problem, but with that attitude, you may be on your own.

LOL, okay at the risk of aggravating the OP, "kick rocks"? When I hear rocks, I hear "time for a Soupie dump run!" =D

Okay, so much for my irrelevant comment but I do have a serious aspect to this.

Do you have a link for the European models? I ask for two reasons:
  1. others may like to look into this option you found. I know I would for the cost factor, and
  2. that link may have a wiring diagram plus pics of the wiring itself.
We really need to see wiring diagrams and pics because no one can answer "Which wires, where, anything" without more info.

I would expect that you searched the forum with the brand and model of these mirrors, but without providing even that basic info, how the herk is anyone here going to be able to offer suggestions.

My search yielded this well documented "European" mirror mod:
https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/thre...owing-mirrors-on-my-us-ranger-need-help.9467/

That thread has many pics, including wiring diagrams, and talks about the connector challenge.

And another thread on what look like Euro mirrors:
https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/new-tow-mirrors.11153/

Folks here will spend hours helping others with mods but they need a little info to go on - we can't read your mind. The only time a very vague question can be answered is "what size wrench do I need?"

Nothing helpful...I have a set of ClearViews.
If I did know anything, after viewing your snarkey response, I probably would have kept it to myself !!!

Both those links are for people who bought ClearView mirrors before they came out with the NA versions. And I have not heard of any nonNA mirrors that have BLIS. And disabling it on trucks with will cause error codes. And I haven't heard of anyone successfully disabling it.

Mine work great for wide loads and don't need any stinkin' wiring.

I also returned my overpriced phone holder.

There’s nothing snarky about saying either offer something helpful or keep scrolling. Yes there needs to be more dialogue to narrow down what I need. I’ve been observing this forum for years and regularly see the same names with douchey responses about what other people do, don’t do, ask, don’t ask - which I can only assume is because it’s behind the safety of a stupid username and no face to face. I’ll just keep searching. Those who have offered help… thanks.

Tell us, did you take classes on how to be offensive and insulting to people who you are asking help and advise from, or is it a natural ability ???
I guess I'm one of the "douchey" members your referring to, but make sure you spell that with a capital "D".
Gonna go out now and kick me some rocks !!!:like:
