Same, I thought it was the Hilux also, but I left NZ in 2008. Maybe Fords picked up popularity since.Apparently the most popular selling truck in the country, I always thought it was the Hilux. I lived there for a few years and they were everywhere.
of the ad, or NZ? The ad is simple, almost too much, IMHO. NZ I like, a lot more than I can write here (I lived there for 3-4 years and my wife grew up there.) I still go back every now and then. It has gotten crowded.I think I left in 2012. What did you think of it?
Yep I meant NZ. I was in Wellington and Auckland, much preferred Wellington, though Auckland had a lovely ferry over to Waiheke Island which is just amazing. I did feel cut off from the rest of the world and we did the trip back to UK once and never again, pretty much 24 hours on a plane in economy class lol.of the ad, or NZ? That sounds fair , to know that I can get a ProperCab anywhere else on planet earth while here it's FamilyCab or else, makes sense, it really does...It looks like the XL is available as single cab, scab, or screw. And the XLT is available as scab or screw. The others are screw only.

I see that Blue Lightning is still an available option. In the US, that colour option stopped after the 2020 model year.It looks like the XL is available as single cab, scab, or screw. And the XLT is available as scab or screw. The others are screw only.

When I was younger a common thing was parents giving their sons single cab trucks to prevent them from riding around with all their friends in them and getting in trouble. Now those kids grew up and are subconsciously rebelling against their parents by getting four door trucks which is driving the market. Now if there were just a place where to put say 9 people in those trucks..When I was younger a common thing was parents giving their sons single cab trucks to prevent them from riding around with all their friends in them and getting in trouble. Like Australia Hiluxes were everywhere in NZ but also like in Australia, I imagine they began to climb and climb in price for what is a pretty bare bones truck ,and then we had the issues with the 3.0 D4D engine cracking pistons, and then the DPF issues when they bought out the 2.8 to replace the 3.0 and suddenly the Ranger looked good and was a best seller.Same, I thought it was the Hilux also, but I left NZ in 2008. I used to work in the radio broadcasting industry. Everyone can claim they the have the "number 1' anything. But they're not telling you that they're only number with males, or number one with females, or number one with people 28-35 years old, or number one with 45-55 year old's etc.Apparently the most popular selling truck in the country, I always thought it was the Hilux. I actually had an old couch in the back of my F150 back then but I wouldn't make it two blocks before getting pulled over. Parked only, this was the 90s not the 70s.Now if there were just a place where to put say 9 people in those trucks..
