Yeah it's a good place to explore. Spent the whole day in the area. I was on 2WD most of the time.

We were there a few weeks ago. No mountain snow then.

Great times!!! Love that area.

The mountain pass is close including Mt Whitney. The sign says open in April. I had to go back there and explore the higher mountains and possible death valley as well.

Installed the rokblokz mudflaps I had received for Christmas. Install was easy. I just wish the screws were black and came with more washers. But nothing a little touch up paint can’t fix.

Also wanted to know if anyone else has ran into the problem with the rear defroster. I’m going to make a little extension jumper. I had the back glass replaced because the defrost actually pulled off because of the short cable. They yanked it and put it on when it was replaced but out of fear of it peeling off again and not being under warranty didn’t want to risk it.

You should be able to pull the trim and get the wire to pull out more

it is tight due to the fact that the spade of the window connector is upside down , should be facing the other way (downward)

Mounted 3 small quick fist rubber clamp to plastic trim behind rear seat.(I have deleted rear seat) Holds 4 hiking sticks pretty well. Was just wasted space before.

Had to drill holes in plastic trim and a hole in metal behind trim to make room for nuts on back side.

Another oil change - some more core memories formed with my main man. Fun to watch him grow up with the truck. Watching him progress with the oil changes is kind of like Dad's own version of Mom's notches on the pantry door.

Put bronco steelies with Load C 265/76r16 Cooper Discoverer AT3s on. Girlfriend says they looks hideous but personally I love the steel look haha

Couple days late, so here's the weekend round-up

Saturday: roughly 17 hours in a fully loaded truck with the dog riding shotgun along I-80 from just outside of Sacramento to Laramie Wyoming where I then diverted and made it home in northern CO at just after midnight

Sunday: Grocery run to restock after being out of town for a month. Stopped in to see some friends, show off my new mods (perk of going to visit my folks is I have a ton of room to work on stuff, and my dad is always looking for a project), and deliver a 3D printer. Capped off 2023 with a trip up Pingree Park Road to discover Buckhorn Pass is closed at Pingree Park, which tells me its also closed at the Ranger station.

Monday: Truck stayed parked. Sat there intently watching my order status on my wheels to no avail, and am now debating if its time to finally open a build thread (missing a TON of photos since I am so late in the process) since I have a winch tucked in behind my factory bumper now
