for sure it is, but it felt like a 7.5-8s truck vs the 2.7L with 400lbft of torque....this engine is freaking fast! I can do burn outs easily!!
so can I. just turn off traction control and floor it. I can melt the tires off the ranger if I wanted.

just saying.

I haven't seen any on the road and have been across the state several times in mine. The local dealer has sold two or three and has several on the lot but they are no where to be seen.

I hadn't seen this posted before - Ranger sales for August - this was posted on the blueovalforums:

Sorry it is kind of blurry - someone posted a screen shot from a phone and it was pretty small - this is the line item for the Ranger:

The good news is that the sales are picking up a bit - creeping up on 10k in August and almost 48k total for the year.

Might start being a battle for 2nd place with the Colorado soon if that keeps up. Colorado is usually around 10-12,000 a month IIRC.

I just returned from a 5400 miles road trip from N.C. to North Dakota onto Montana. South to South Dakota, back to Nebraska, south to Oklahoma then west to New Mexico, and back home (20 days total). I saw a total of 2 Ford Rangers. I saw my third yesterday at a local fast food. It was a Blue XLT that was quite sharp. I do have a friend that bought a Silver XLT extend cab that I see quite often. But, that's all. It's kinda strange as I know they are selling. The only thing I can think of is that the Ranger has a stealth mode that we haven't heard about. :)

The smaller truck segment was started to save gas. Gas prices are low now so the move to smaller is slow. Ranger did not start production when the others did. It will take another year to see how the public likes the Ranger compared to the others. A lot of people do not want a first run. Not to worry. :)

That is the case for me. I'll be ordering a 2020 in a few weeks and would prefer a 2021 for even more kinks to be worked out but I don't want to wait that long.

There are more than 250 million vehicles in the US and less than 50 thousand of them are 2019 rangers...
Yep. Putting that slightly differently, one out of every 5000 vehicles is a 5G ranger at the moment. Even at a sales rate of 10,000 a month, it will take a while before you see more than one every week or so.
