Welp this is it. After ford not being helpful with the transmission issues on my truck and not actually looking into it… I’ve decided to part ways with this unreliable lemon and go backwards into something I know I can trust for many many hard abused miles. I will be selling my eibach lift if anyone is interested in it here soon other than that the new owner can have the small things I don’t care to take off. It’s been fun I guess? But time to go back to imports.

tomorrow will be the last day with the ranger.

Do what you gotta do Jacob. We all need less stress in our lives. Post a pic of your new ride when you get it.

Yup it’s a bummer since I liked the truck but at 22k miles and I’m already having issues and the dealers are not helping me… it’s just time to leave and go back to something I can trust… I’ll be getting that red ext cab tacoma in the second pic tomorrow. It’s not a offroad model so no locker but I can easily add one if I feel I truly need it. And tbh if I don’t have one it might keep me from breaking this one haha

I cant stress this enough. IF YOU HAVE OEM METAL SIDE STEPS KEEP THEM ON. THEY HELPED SAVE MY DOOR AND ROCKER. disregard if you have rocksliders. They would help how ever small of a impact it may be over the gran scheme of things, but could be the difference between surviving and not. Theyre literally 3/16 boxed tube attached in the same way broncos oem sliders are attached.

thats rare it did anything but not damage the vehicle... ive seen those rip parts of cabs off or smash into the cab and destroy a rocker so dont run them...

also broncos sliders will be attached to the frame not the cab. if they do mount to the cab then its not a slider...

Spend all week looking at PC screens so if it's decent outside I'm usually out doing something. Washed it & then used metal pipe as breaker bar to move front crash bars forward in anticipation of larger tires at later date.

Today, go out to find a nail in the tread at the sidewall. Took it to @Discount Tire to see if it can be repaired; no go.

So, they ordered me a new tire and will have it installed tomorrow afternoon.
I rarely approach my truck from the front. Over the weekend, I was walking toward my truck in the driveway and something looked off.

The tread on the tire @Discount Tire replaced is different. Looking at the sidewall, they installed a General Grabber APT instead of the A/T. Drove over and has a conversation and they’re making it right later this afternoon.

I’ve been really happy with their service over the many years I’ve bought tires from them.

If you do that YOU ARE GOING TO DIE!
At least that's what I've read on these forums.

The store is handling it. We walked out to the truck and looked at the tires and he said, "not sure what happened but we'll make it right."

Things happen. It's a minor inconvenience.

Last time Discount Tire rotated our tires (I have each one marked), they reinstalled one tire back in the same position where they took it off. WTF ?

We should not have to double-check everyone else's work.
