It replaces the drivers side defrost vent to add a 52mm gauge.
Thank you, that sounds pretty custom. Would love to see a pic once your done adding the gauge!

Very cool mod! =)

Now to wait for the rain to clear up and install this thing on Sunday or Monday. =)

Soupie's payload will soon be in the negative! And maybe that bed rake flaw will be fixed. =p

And it came inside of two (2) resealable bags - I guess I know this lock is fresh!

Is this little piece of paper supposed to be the "Adhesive Patch" mentioned in the instructions?!?

Don't all rangers have locking tailgates?

Mine locks/unlocks with the doors via fob.

Yes they do. Even my XL has the fob lock (but no physical key).

However, I saw a post here about how easy it is to punch a hole in a spot with a screwdriver and open it with minimal damage.

I also need need to change my tailight screws to slow down would-be thieves because I do leave my tailgate down often in the day and sometimes overnight when pre-staging for a next day dump run (my raison d'ĂŞtre). =D

David...that's what I did...changed the taillight screws.
Ever see the pack of security torx screws in your local AutoZone/Advance Auto/O'Reilly in the license plate section ? Pack of 4 is just a few $$. The screws are an almost exact replacement for the OE taillight screws. Pack even comes with the proper security torx tool to put em in.
Can't take em out without the proper tool.
If your not familiar with them....it's a torx with a small integral post in the center that requires the proper torx security bit to remove...has a hole to accommodate the post.

I do have a set of tamper-proof torx bits and now, thanks to you, may soon be able to use them!

If you think this is a good solution, that's plenty good enough for me - thanks! =)

Thankfully, only a few dollars. =)

Now I did use this style of "spanner" security machine bolt on my license plates (also called "snake eye drive").

David...forgot to add...you'll need to use some washers as the OE stuff had a captive washer on it. I just used some stuff I had on hand.
