Yes I have searched lol, and I am still going through though the threads here. But I figured maybe someone has already done what I am planning and can chime in with their experience and save me hours of searching and reading, not to mention possible wrong choices lol. :like: .

I am planning a Fox 2.0 suspension upgrade and I want to change up the wheels and tires as well. I am looking for more of a "Tremorish" set up so, I am either looking at a set of Tremor wheels which I believe are 17x8 +42 (please correct me if I am wrong) or I have my eyes on some Method MR703 17"X8.5 *35MM. Tire wise I'll probably stick with the stock size, maybe go 275.

My issue is my Garage lol. Height is limited and I WILL NOT park in the driveway. In current stock form I have about 7" of clearance (more than I initially thought lol) so I want to make sure what I go to wont make me cut a notch in my garage to be able to get in ?. My questions are the normal any rubbing issues but more so, any lift from going from a 18" wheel w/ a 60 side wall, to a 17" wheel w/ a 70 side wall? If I am reading the chart right, 13.8mm of lift which equates to about a 1/2"?

Thanks for any advise or input as trucks/off-roading is still new to me.

If you have 7” you’re fine. As for rub if you go Tremor size which are 265/70/17 you won’t have a problem until you go really wide on the poke.

The Fox 2.0 upgrade won't raise the rear much or any. I think mine went up 0.25" or so due to the extra pressure the rear shock puts out trying to expand, verses the FX4 one. The front will go up max 2" at the wheel, depending on your original stock height. FWIW, the Fox 2.0s only raised my front 1.5 inches out of the box, but I adjusted them down to just 1.0" of front lift. My truck seemed to have a higher than average front height stock.

Stepping up to the tires you are looking at should not raise the overall truck more than 0.5"or slightly more.

So overall, you are looking at approximately 0.50-0.75" rear increase and max 2.5" front increase. Your 7" of clearance will be fine.

So i'm running that suspension and tire setup, but on factory wheels. I have no rubbing as it stands. You should be fine with that wheel setup if you stick to the 265/70/17. Bigger than that and you might have some clearance issues which will require removal of the crash bars, or better yet install the readylift high clearance crash bars (i've heard very good things about those, and are on my list for when i get bigger tires).

Thanks for the replies. Another question I just thought of, will my speedo have to be recalibrated? I assume Forscan can do that if so?

Your Speedo should fit just fine with no recalibration. The lift and tires should not effect it...:like::LOL::crackup::crackup::LOL:

The diagram in your first post notes a 3.4% speedo error. When your speedo reads 50 mph, you'll actually be traveling at 51.7mph, at 100mph you'll be doing 103.4mph. Depending on whether you stick to the post limit or push it, and how strict your local LEO are, it may be worth changing or at least checking/confriming with any number of any number of smart phone GPS driven apps. It's very easy to change with Forscan.

It will also throw your mpg computer stats by 3.4%.

I would go with the Tremor wheels over the Method wheels. Main reason they are stronger(rated to hold more) and the fact you know they will fit. I would also stick with 265/70-17 so you don't have to worry about messing with the crash bars. That alone will bring you up about 1 inch from factory.

I was actually leaning in that direction. I really do Like the Tremor wheels and they are available in gloss black so I can keep my "Black Appearance package" look. :like:

Check out Levittown Ford before you pull the trigger on those. I think you can get the Tremor wheels for under $1000.

i run the tremor size 265 70 17 on the stock sport package fx4 wheel and they fit fine. no rubs or issues. if one wanted to save some cash but get the better tires the 265 70 17 will fit the 5g rangers bone stock no lift no level or spacing changes. I ran mine that way over a year on and off road. my speed vs. the dash was off a small amount but nothing to get upset over.

My garage is tight as well. At stock height and stock tires the OE radio antenna was getting beat up on the garage door so the first accessory I got was a Stubby antenna.
I got 265/70-17's to replace the stock 255/65-17's and they fit fine on the stock wheels with no issues.
Adjusted the tire size on Forscan so the speedo and mpg are correct, 2400mm circumference was just right. Putting in the actual circumference per the tire manufacturer's website was too much. I'd run up and down the road comparing the speedo with the GPS and tweak it until it was right.
I since added a Truxxx 1.5" level but like I said, it was tight at stock height. With 7" of clearance you'll be fine with 2.5".

285/70/17 Ridge Grappler tires (I am not a big fan of them)
On Roush Rims
Rough Country Lift
I have my crash bars and it "does not" rub anywhere/at any time
