Hello y'all!
I did the whole seafoam can treatment like in this video below.
After the treatment, I went for the test drive and shortly after my CEL came on. scanned it with my OBD scanner and I got codes P2196, I cleared it and kept driving a bit and I noticed my auto start/stopr would not work and I got code P164C. I stopped the car, cleared the codes, turned it off and turned it on, then the auto start stop started working again.
Long story short, My CEL is off, but when scanned I still have a permament code P2196 which cant be cleared. How long will I need to drive for this to go away? I just drove for about 15 mins on the freeway and its still there. Also, annoyingly, on my FordPass I now have an annoying notice to take my car in for a service. Hoping this will go away soon too...
Seems to drive a little better, might be my imagination. My truck is stock, 38K Miles. Pretty sure I didnt have these codes before the treatment. I just assume it sucked in too much air through the gap and threw the sensor out of normal spec.
Any thoughts?
