SPG is a better measure than MPG

SPG = Smile Per Gallon

Heavy foot = lots of smiles
Very true. This gizmo helps with that for sure. I went back to stock for a day to test something. Nerp.

LoL

I can understand that... When I go from my not tuned truck to our NA Outback, the only word I can use is sluggish... I imagine that's what it's like going from a tune to not...

Why does it literally leads to thousands ahead? You can tune at existing octane and be done.
cuz tires
and probably brakes too if i forget to turn off the traction control

Do you free ship to canada?
That's my first step in this process.
Past that its exchange rate and whether I want to spend more money on fuel and tires.
The $50 off is a small dangling carrot that literally leads to thousands of dollars down the road.
Unfortunately, shipping is free just to the lower 48. But we could certainly get you a discounted shipping rate if that helps you out at all.

Has anyone who's had the FP Tune switched to this? What do you think of the change? Worth the cost?
We actually did this. Started with the FP and swapped to LN. Huge difference on the Livernois. In a good way. The extra customizable features, custom tunes, tire calibration, etc; all of that makes these kits way better then the FP tune in my opinion.

I’m really only looking at the drivability. My tire size is set through Forscsn and I’m not concerned about the other customization. In pure drivability, is it worth it?

In our opinion, 100%. Better shift points. Customized tunes for more power, or fuel efficiency, towing, tunes for different octane levels; whatever you want they can Do it. And anytime you want a new tune they charge $10 a time. Can’t really beat that if you ask me. Plus they have a great service team if you ever need assistance.

The real winners from this kit though was the smoother shifting and increased power. Our Ranger was an overland built ranger. So not only did we have the sluggish drive but the weight made it even worse. Now we weren’t trying to do 1/4 runs or any of that. That was not our purpose of the truck. But overall drivability and and enjoyment was top notch.

I'll let you know, going to see how much the exchange rate hurts at the moment

I currently tow at the high end of capacity. I haven't seen any issues with my transmission or hauling mode. What would I gain from spending a half of a thousand dollars here? What is the real world increase in torque running either 89 or 93 octane. My mpg is going to stink any time I'm pulling 6500 pounds behind me, I'm well past needing to put accelerate anyone at a light.

according to Livernois specs, they tested their tuning at 93 octane and saw an increase of up to 80hp and 100 tq. Now we personally have not tested this on a dyno so this is based on their detailed results.

but Keep in mind though they make custom tunes specific to your wants and needs. Tunes are only $10 each so you can always call them up and tell them what you want and they will make something for you.

I didn't know that... emailing them to see if I can tweak a few things.

There is a article floating around of a dyno on the tow tune from a truck magazine. It was a similar gain if I remember right.. Torque peaked lower and a bit less horsepower vs the performance tunes. I don't like it because mine is derpy on the 1 to 2 shift on tow, but I also only gave it a day so it didn't learn. I went back to haul ass mode.

not worth it imo I should note they are similar in numbers with Ford's tune being more conservative. The only way I see it worth it if you tow a lot and need to use a wide range of fuel vs the FP tune being stuck at 91. This is why I have the LM tow tune on my truck. drives well but the aggressive downshifts sometimes can be a pita. I like the tow tune + tow haul mode but sport is fun too

Tempting, but I am worried about warranty issues down the road. I still have 1.5 years left on my bumper to bumper warranty and I and I am considering buying the Ford ESP. It will probably come down to buying a tune or the Ford ESP.

The tune won't replace your tyranny when it fails at 50k miles...
