Yea I've got the Obdlink MX+, should work fine. Would Torque Pro read trans and abs codes (not that I'm expecting to need the capability).
I have the same OBDLink MX+. I know it reads ABS on my older B4000, but not sure on the 5G as I have never had to hook it up.
And other posts seem to indicate that there is no transmission temp sensor.

I have a ScanGuage II and am close to GCVW when towing although the trailer itself is only around 4700lbs. I’ve only hit 225F on the tranny once, and that was pulling up and down a 17% grade.

You can get to the temp through an app like Torque Pro and an adapter. You'll find that the temp runs from about 190-225 most of the time. The temp of this transmission is pretty well regulated and the cooling stack of the truck is up to the job.

Several of us pull heavy travel trailers and monitor our temps, as a matter of fact, I just got done doing a trip to the GA mountains fully loaded and never saw anything above 225, and that was sitting at a stoplight.

The shallow pan will do just fine for you. I wouldn't spend the extra money.

Here's my towing log from the trip. Nothing much to see here. Temps are well in check even loaded down on a 93 degree day.

I love Torque Pro I have used it in my last two Ford trucks and have it set up to monitor all the strange things
I really want to know why it reads so high on fuel rail pressure though LOL

2-3000psi is about normal for GDI. Long way from the old port injection days

I was thinking to see maybe 17 to 23 and as high as 70 psi when I first seen this I thought some sensor was reading wrong LOL

You're able to view all of those gauges on your phone?

He's probably using a tablet or something with a massive screen. Having all those on screen looks cool, but it slows the update rate down and a bunch of those are just calculated values and not really useful for much.

Super fun to watch though.

I suppose I should have thought it was a tablet instead of a phone.

They took the diff drain plug as well in late 2021. You can see where it was cast to have one, but... nope. It's gone.
The diff drain plug isn't gone, just relocated.

Unless this was another "cost down" casualty.

Is this missing on the later trucks?

Missing on my '22 XLT
I should've looked at the sticky first.

Item #28: Removed differential drain plug.

That must've saved them in the tens of cents on each truck

I saw a thread with a list of things Ford took it away and the drain plug on the rear end was one. Didn’t mention a model year.
