I leave mine in all the time.
it's surprising how many people bang into it when parked.
I tow across town about once per month. Between uses, I'll wipe off the grease and give the ball a quick spray of satin black.
I don't live in a rust area.. But since the hitch fits fairly snug, for good measure I also smeared antiseize before putting it together.

I actually parked pretty good. That angle makes it look bad.

What you see there is the results from a person with good "parking skills".

Pushed my truck backwards over the curb.

I mean yeah you're over the line but I can see that other spaces were available to that Nissan. Parking in that spot and that close seems like it was done out of spite for your minor infraction. I would wager a guess it was a 40+ year old single woman, multiple cat owner and daily boxed-wine drinker.

Hey what's wrong with cats, I've got one that's a pretty cool cat, follows me around like a dog. Will pass on the rest of that though.
From what I've seen all cats do is sit around and throw up. They throw up more than an Ozempic addict.

I haven't looked into it, but a friend of mine told me that there's a fine in ON for keeping a ball hitch on when not in use; not sure if that would also apply to the recovery shackle. Either way, I keep mine in my "bed bin"; I don't use it often enough that it makes sense to leave it, and I definitely have to deal with the rust issue that others have mentioned.

I've thought a couple of times about putting in a hitch cover; anyone have experience with them, and do they really do much to protect the receiver? If so, what would you recommend?

he A1C test—also known as the hemoglobin A1C or HbA1c test—is a simple blood test that measures your average blood sugar levels over the past 3 months. It's one of the commonly used tests to diagnose prediabetes and diabetes, and is also the main test to help you and your health care team manage your diabetes.
