Sounds like they either trolled forums, looking for the standard common complaints, or they just used google and cherry picked what they could to make a boring article.
But they're right though, there's a lot of garbage from Fords stable lately.

Ford fixed the 2019 issues by removing all the offending parts.

Yep. There are sites that just hate Fords, period. Take Motor Biscuit for example. They'll say something like. "I didn't like the radio button on the Ranger. And although the Tacoma doesn't tow as much, the cab is cramped, and power is lacking, we saw that Top Gear video on the unkillable Hilux. Even though we can't get the Hilux in North America, the Tacoma is better."
