Good info, I saw the numbers, not the member list, hey is it alphabetical maybe?
I don't think so...I created the poll and so I had cast the first vote but is 6th according to the list...weird...

Hey guys, the voting list is actually a problem for me, I have some of the dipsticks promised locally and abroad to people that are not on the list, there have also been people involved with the project at a level deeper than the initial voting list.

Combined with that, until this week I did not know the voting list existed.

As well as there may be some that have mfg problems, I was told it could be as high as 2-3% rejection rate, I hope it's zero, but in mfg they usually are not all 100% perfect.

I've been dreading this post, but I need to get this out, please, please do not consider the voting list as set list, unfortunately it's not that simple, I wish I had the balls to order 200 of them, it would save me from having to post this.

I'm sitting here, concerned about upsetting the very people that were the motivation for me to take this project to the level I have, all the positive input has been so cool, I changed from initially 25-30 to now 60 dipsticks, between all the comments in the posts, the likes and the growing YES votes.

I will blend the voting list with what I already have going, I would like to think the majority of the people on the list will be fine, I expected out of 100 votes only 40-50 might actually lay down money, clicking "yes" is one thing, turning that into spending money is another.

Please dont start cursing at your computer or shake your head in disappointment, I am working very hard at this to get you guys sticks, as soon as I have the first batch in hand I will order the second batch, there is a chance I will have the second batch before the first batch is gone, once everything is established, it's just reordering.

As always, thank you very much for all your support!!!!!!!!!!!

I just also wanted to thank you for all your efforts with the stick development project you took on. Before I caught up to this thread I was all set to buy the B&M dipstick and start tweaking but got side tracked with basement water leak issues (water always wins) and when I got back to the B&M dipstick purchase I hesitated when thinking about the fill marks on the oem dipstick and their transfer to the B&M. Also the NVH issues (where to mount and route). If B&M was $100 I might have tried. Then I found this thread and I got totally immersed in your development process and went along for the ride!
So I will wait for your dipstick as I would prefer a custom fit design and properly engineered product. I also understand your concern of over extending your own personal funds not knowing if 130 people saying yes is really only 80 when it’s time to pull out the credit card. So I will wait and if it doesn’t work out I am no worse off than when I considered the B&M stick.
Have you thought of asking for a non refundable (25% ?) deposit so you can get a rock solid number to produce the second batch. I think that will totally weed out any fence sitters (if there are any) and let you sleep at night.
Once again, thanks for all your efforts!

Thanks you guys, it's that kind of positive input that motivates me with the project.

The second batch will be easier, it will also be larger, this first round of everything has been crazy.

I have only shared this here, I was curious, has anybody shared this anywhere else? Other forums or Facebook?

I hope to keep it here until the customer feedback from the first batch, then I hope to spread the word.

The hose and fittings are -10AN, just under a 1/2" hole, I just tried a 3/8 nylon hose, it does easily go down, which leaves a 1/4" hole for the fluid, not huge, but hopefully enough depending on what pump/suction method you use, for reference, the B&M dipstick only uses -8AN hose and fittings.

Good question, I hope the answer is good enough, thanks for asking!

I drained mine by pumping out fluid with 3/8 nylon hose and got 7 quarts out...

A longer hose should be able to accomplish the same result with less mess...

Perfect , as I'm not sure I will replace the pan but replacing the fluid is in my to do list when my mileage gets up there. Love your solution and yes I'm signed up for your mod, thx
