I just put the AFE rear diff cover on. I chose that one as the drain plug is in the very bottom of the cover and I got the optional sight glass so I can keep an eye on the fluid.

According to their website, it increases the oil capacity to 5qts? Is that right?

No, the cover for the ranger only gets the capacity up to 2.5 qts, think it shares with an F150 trim and that will get it up to 5 qts.

I see okay. Thank you for clarifying. I actually saw this on one of the performance website when doing a Google search. It came as a package with gear oil. And then I saw the ARB and liked the red powder coat but searched and could not find anything or anyone using it on the ranger. Apparently, we share the same M220 rear axle as the Jeep Wrangler so I was able to read up a bit on it.

I suspect it is 5 pints not 5 quarts. The stock cover is between 3 and 4 pints depending if you have the locker or not. The engine takes 6 quarts.

Stage3motorsports has the afe kit with oil. I ordered mine straight from afe but they also sell the kit too. I only use amsoil so I just got the cover and added the sight glass.

6.2 quarts to be exact lol! Just did my oil change last week lol! Yes so 5 pints equals to 2.5 quarts which is what Bravohook stated. Would the design of the diff cover yield more or less gear oil?

I think Stage3 Motorsports was the company I saw it at. So the sight glass does not come with the afe diff?
