Just received recall 19S34 in the mail and it looks like it was an issue 3 years ago. Called the dealer and they said it’ll take 3 hours to look at the motor to see if it needs replaced. They also want to appraise my truck. Seems fishy to me that now they’re concerned after 3 years and want me to come in. I now they’re having a rough time time moving trucks and laying off employees but this would be a really sleazy way of getting people to the dealership. I’ve not had any problems with the hvac thus far. Maybe I’m wrong but this just seems odd.

Not odd....Ford is trying to see if a badly designed havc motor was installed in your truck.
It's legit and doesn't cost you anything except a bit of your time....
If you don't take advantage of it, and something happens later, it's on you, so,.....

So a recall from March 2020 and they’re just now getting to me? Come on now. I just called the 1-866-436-7332 number on the letter and it had no information and it disconnected me when I tried to speak to someone. They seem really concerned over a 3 year warranty concern. Good Lord

Are you the original owner of your truck ???
Read the recall...it indicates that at some time in it's past, the blower motor was replaced by Ford.
The recall is indicating that the motor that was used might be defective.....they want to check and replace if necessary. Could short out and cause a fire.
It's usually a multi big big $$$$$$$ item to replace that motor, so take advantage of the notice !!!!!
As for them "trying to get you into the dealership".....they couldn't care less if you do or don't want to get a new vehicle.
Their under mandate to check and fix the problem on their dollar and time. They have to check/fix if it's your truck or not.....even if you were to "trade" they would still have to do the recall.

Original owner. I worked as quality control coordinator at Toyota for 5 years. I know how recalls work. I’m no spring chicken. I’m still financed through Ford on this truck so it’s not like they have a hard time finding me. You work for Ford? You think 3 years is acceptable for a smoke or fire recall? They know exactly when my truck rolled off the line and exactly what batch of blower motors were installed.

DAMN POST OFFICE !!!
They also have my email, phone number, and notifications on the app that I remote start my truck from. Probably had a hard time finding me. I’d say if I didn’t make my payment they’d probably not wait 3 years to contact me

Did the notice come from Ford Motor Company, or from a dealer? Ford's, like Toyota's recalls com directly to you. If the notice is under any other letterhead than Ford Motor Company's, could be fishy. Even if an original notice went unanswered, a second notice would also be on FoMoCo letterhead. If it's Ford's, I'd take it in. A recall is a safety related defect, not meant to be a sales gimmick.
There may have been a batch of HVAC motors that are failure prone that are showing up now. Ford or a dealer wouldn't need to use such a tactic to lure you into their store

Not to be sarcastic but with the supply chain issues the last several years I wouldn't be surprised if they just held off because it wasn't a huge safety issue, until parts became available. Plus they gamble some of the trucks are off the road crashed etc.

If it is the blower motor recall it's.not hard to check. All you have to do is look at the date code on the blower motor. If it in a certain window then it has to be replaced (Wich takes less than an hour to do BTW). I have only done the recall once
