Hi guys, been reading the forums for a while, but first time posting. I got this 2019 FX4 Lariatused in March 2022, trading in my 2020 F-150 for better gas mileage, since it's my daily driver. I have three kids, two of them in booster seats, and since we had begun using my Ranger for family outings more regularly I had been considering going back to an F-150 for the back seat space. For that reason, I didn't sink much money into mods or add-ons...but just recently I made up my mind to keep it (I do love it, after all), and now I have begun customizing.

I had already added the bug guard right after I bought it, but today I put on the rain guards and a stubby antenna. As I said, I have gone through the forums and read lots of posts, mostly looking for ideas. I don't want to be one of those guys that asks a question that's been answered a hundred times, but there is so much information on here that it is a bit overwhelming.

I'm planning on adding some beefier fender flares, swapping out these highway tires for some all terrains (still on the fence between Firestone Destination AT3, BF Goodrich KO2, and Baja Boss). I'm thinking about this one time yall probably haven't heard of before...it's a DeeZee Tailgate Dampener. ;) I have looked a little bit at FORScan, but I have never used anything like that and am a little nervous about bricking my truck, so any feedback in that area would be great. I like the idea of the Bambi mode and putting an end to that annoying double honk when I close the door with the truck running and fob in my pocket.

I have looked at a couple leveling kits and am thinking about putting one on there, but it would be mostly for aesthetics, since any offroading I do isn't really all that hardcore, but I haven't made up my mind which kit to get and whether to do it myself or have it professionally installed. I am mechanically inclined, but I'm not sure if that's within my abilities. Anybody who isn't a professional (or at least very experienced amateur) mechanic do your own? Interested in your experiences, if so.

Long term, I'm gonna want to put a bed cap on and get a LineX liner. I say long term because while the liner is only around $500, I'm looking at $3,000 before caps, and again...three kids, so an unrequired $3,000 upgrade to my truck isn't priority.

Anybody got any ideas for relatively inexpensive add-ons/mods that you recommend? I am also interested in doing a chrome delete, but with this thing already having so much chrome to begin with (and me making it worse with the bug guard), that seems a little daunting on top of all my other truck priorities.

Also...if you didn't notice, I'm terrible at typing on my phone, so please forgive the random words in places that make no sense.

Welcome Chris. Some like the chrome some don't. I don't mind it. Maybe some mud flaps to keep the chips down on the rocker panels and if you haven't gotten all weather floor mats with the kids you might consider them.

Good call on both. Forgot to mention I was planning on mud flaps, and I do have the all weather floor mats but they're Rough Country and I don't really care for them, so I'm considering another brand. Maybe Husky. Any recommendations there?

I have the Husky and the fit is great. They clean up easy too.

Classy Ranger!!

Another vote for Husky X-ACT Contour Floor Liners. Great fit and sturdy.

nice truck and welcome! id say any of the forescan mods are quick and inexpensive. the high beams and fog lights on together is worth every penny when you need it (bambi mode is what some call it). if you have a good car and truck wrap place near you i bet they could wrap all the stuff you do not like being chrome in a colored vinyl fairly easily. then you are not buying new parts and its not permanent if you change your mind or decide to trade in etc.

Filled her up 5 gallons of e85 and the rest of the remainder of 13 gallons with 87 for a rough e30 blend, drove 70 miles round trip for a cheap lower control arm for a ranger that I will use to mock up to design a long travel control arm.

Got this guy hooked up. Like the way it looks especially when the suns down. I don't really notice any noise either.

Waiting for my extension cable so I can start fighting the fire wall boot to run the control wire to my auxbeam AR-800 controller. It's Bluetooth as well so maybe I'll forgoe the extension, tuck it away, and just use my phone.

Is that the AVS cab light bar? How does it look on your truck? Any side shots of the truck with it installed?

Thanks
