Happened yesterday on my way home from work. Not happy about it obviously, but it could be A LOT worse. I was still at a red light and got rear ended. I believe the hitch took the brunt of the hit as there's not much ( that I can see) damage. Probably just rear bumper stuff and paint, maybe the tow hitch as well. Dude probably has a VW logo on the front of his Yukon now lol.

Yea its still drivable and like you said, neither one of us were hurt. Hopefully there's no back order on parts. I may reach out to a couple Ford dealer we deal with at work and get an idea on stock levels.

One of the nasty parts of an accident is the hit you take on your rig that you won't be compensated for. The vehicle will now be in that Carfax data base. Only way for that not to cost you is just drive it till the wheels fall off.

Depending on your state , you can claim " diminished value" and get some of that back ...

Sorry for your loss...that sux...I'm a firm believer in too much is never enough and that's why I had to have a hitch bumper + rear trail light bar for extra turn and the brake has rapid pulse module...get in their face before they go up your ass...

Did you ask the driver that hit you if they were able to finish their text conversation? Or did your truck getting in their way ruin it?
