Here's a better view behind the license plate holder. I was going to take it off, but the light brackets are in the way. Poor license plate is toast ?. I guess instead of "It's A Ford F'in Ranger" it's now "It's A F'ed Ford Ranger".

Oh and yes doctor said I can have a beer during my follow up.

It's a 2001 F150.

There's a lot of old trucks at work. We had posts up with chains around the rocky drainage ditches in the parking lot. They got rid of them because people would just knock them over backing up. Now we got those parking curbs. Which still somehow got knocked back from someone backing up into..... unfortunately I was in their way. ?
Looks more like a 2010, I think those tail lights are 2009 and up.

Bummer Mike but at least the damage is not super major. Fortunately there were witnesses!
I would have 4k 3 channel with audio dash cam footage. But for some freaking reason my cam stop recording at 11pm the night before. I mean come on man!!!! I just added a 256GB card and the external battery and expansion battery were fully charged. It should last a full 16hrs before they're depleted. I checked them and they were at 70%. I just got super lucky with witnesses that know him. He had to file a report or he would have been fired.

Right?! Like that’s the logical thing that most people do in that situation. Haha.
As someone tasked with babysitting those in the public whom cheat Darwin daily - never ever underestimate the sheer stupidity of the general public.

We have upended the balance of natural selection around the same time we started passing laws requiring "do not drink" to be placed on bottles of bleach.

I've just been having the worse luck. Had a minor heart attack before Easter Weekend. Spent 2 days in the hospital. Decided I'll finally get my truck professionally detailed and ceramic coated. Then a week later this happened.

He hit me then proceeded to push my truck that it moved the parking curb. I got a little lucky because my tire just missed that metal bar. And yes it's that truck parked in front of me. He had no choice but to file a report with security because there were so many witnesses. This happened at 5:30 am. I guess he was running behind. I got off work at 6:30 am. It's time to get a ARB Summit bumper now. I guess you can say I was pushed off the fence I was on about getting one. ?

Such bad luck! Feel bad for you Mike. Bumpers come and go, I suppose, but I hope your health is here to stay. Glad you're able to keep a good attitude through all of this! Looking forward to seeing the new bumper :sunglasses:

Yes, you are right. And I would imagine you’ve seen your fair share of them.

People don’t always act rational in stressful situations, or so they say.

I do not believe there were any laws passed MANDATING those labels. I believe those labels were added by lawyers for companies who got sued when people drank it and complained "the label didn't tell me not to drink it" - I believe litigation is where all these stupid warnings come from, not laws.

For the comic relief portion: I at first thought you had a heart attack because of what happened to your precious ride...
Seriously though, I'm REALLY glad you're ok.
That's likely just superficial damage that can be fixed pretty easily and if you get a bumper upgrade out of the deal then good for you.
But as others have said, how in the world did that guy manage to push you after initial contact? I know no one is perfect but even a ghost kiss on someone's bumper is a major faux pas, in my opinion. I hope he wasn't drunk. And with backup cameras, sensors and alerts I just don't know how someone manages to pull off such a dumb maneuver like that these days.
Please share pics after you get her fixed.
Good luck!

Yeah, I don't know how he didn't see me. He's got a reverse camera and backup sensors. Like what the actual F!?!?

Here's a screenshot from when a dude ran a red light on the 25th. Glad I stopped or things would have been a lot different. Interesting enough this is the exact same intersection that someone hit a deer a couple months ago. That lead me to start looking at different bumpers. I also have a pic

And here's when I got hit at work in my dad's car. Dude was going to fast turning into work. He did around $2000 of damage. Luckily it was just the fog light and plastic bumper. The Honda Accord had a little dent.
I think ? I should carpool to work from now on.
