Wasn’t the Millennium Falcon a POS????
Sure, it was a bucket of bolts but it made the Kessel run in 12 parsecs. ?

EVs are pushing these companies to follow the silicon valley race-for-market-share model, and they are completely losing their minds.

Ford needs to get back to the basics of building things well and building them in North America. No need for hype and empty promises if you have a track record of getting things done.

Thing is, if they aren’t onboard with EV’s the small minority of Greenies will scream to high heaven and regulate them until they do.
EV’s are right for some people but I’m against forcing them on everyone.

Oh boy our new truck is gonna be just like in the Star Wars mobies!! Maybe they will drag out a washed up Mark Hamil to drive the truck and blow up the Death Star by dropping Ford's exploding batteries into the exhaust vent.

Service Manager: Umm sir. We just sent your truck to 2099 while we were trying to diagnose the plasma core.

Customer: When can I get it back?

Service Manager: Umm, 2099

My lord the Tesla money lining these "journalist" pockets. A serious Cybertruck competitor? I'm sorry. My son's battery-power scooter is doing better than the Cybertruck on the street at the moment. Rivian, HUMMER, and Lightning as of this writing are the only e-trucks on the road. I know we are Ford guys but I'd have my eye on GM and what they are doing, not the Cybertruck.

Right. All this talk about competing against the non-existent Cyber Truck. The Cyber Truck might be the biggest joke Musk played on the auto industry.

The Left hates corporate welfare until it’s their corporate welfare.
Musk has become kinda Libertarian but he made most of his money from government subsidies.

Farley says the Ford "super" truck will be available in just 30 months so it may beat the Cybertruck to market. I don't get this fixation on having to make EV trucks, skeptical on how many ICE truck owners are going to accept truck EVs give some of the current limitations.

If Farley wants to make an impactful statement I think something about a battery tech/range break through would get people's attention, not some nonsense about sleeping behind the wheel while the sun is shining.
