I INSTALLED THE FORD PERFORMANCE TUNE, I RUN 91 OCTANE AND AM VERY EASY ON THE GO PEDAL. AS A RESULT, I AVERAGE 26MPG. I WISH FORD WAS PAYING ME TO SAY THIS!!!
I was considering tuning my truck when I first got it but they had just started coming out with those tuning packages and I kinda wanted to wait until bugs were ironed out. Folks were just figuring things out then, some where happy, others so so. The Ford Performance tune at the time hadn't came out yet. How is that tune? What's the likes and dislikes? Many were anticipating it.

Lighten up guys, some humor is all it is also you do not get that mileage the way the truck was built by Ford if you installed a tune. Most people who use 87 octane and do not have a tune and just drive with the normal flow of traffic do not get that mileage. I went on a road trip yesterday just drove speed limit 75 mph on interstate and got 21.4 with 87 octane just the way Ford built it, Henry was not with me either.

I duuno, man, humor or not, Henry or not, you are still suggesting doubt to the mileage reported by myself and (possibly) others. As far as your statement on here about 87 pump gas without a tune in normal traffic flow, I use regular cheapest pump gas and drive back and forth to work in jammed packed normal city traffic here in Palm Beach County, passing the inner city daily yet my mileage is still holding steady at over 26mpg. Another poster on this thread just reported that he has a Ford Performance Tune using 91 octane and is averaging 26 with a steady foot.....Let's just say that these mpg figures might be possible for your sake.

Twice! lol When I first purchased my Ranger and after about 2k miles, I found out that I was missing a lot of nice options that the dealer never told me about. So I found another new Ranger that had those options and traded in my first truck. When I traded in my first truck, the mileage on it was about the same as I am getting now on my current Ranger....so two unicorns!

IT WAS EASY TO INSTAL, I HAD AN OLD DELL LAPTOP WHICH HAD THE LATEST UPDATES, AND IT WAS EASY BREEZY, I'M BY NO WAY A TECHY BUT IF I CAN DO IT ANYONE CAN. I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS WITH IT AT ALL. THE POWER IS ALWAYS THERE, NO BAD TRANSMISSION ISSUES EITHER. AS SOON AS IT WAS AVAILABLE I BOUGHT AND INSTALLED.

They're onto us they raised the price of the standard one! I ordered it. We'll see how it goes.

I am at 34k problem free miles.

I do 120 miles/day 5 days a week. Still drives great. Seat still uncomfortable as hell.. but all good.
My engine let go at 36450! I truly think it was a fluke, and Ford replaced it under warranty, but it went ecoBOOM completely stock. Sounds like it was a head gasket failure mixed with some cooked bearings.
