Surprisingly the owners manual doesn't state what a 2wd SuperCab (or any other Ranger) weighs empty, it refers you to the B pillar stickers that came with the truck.

My "tire and loading information" sticker states "combined weight of occupants and cargo should never exceed 1893 lbs". The Federal sticker next to that states the GVWR is 6050 lbs although the front and rear GAWR exceeds that by 335 lbs, margin of safety I presume).

That leads me to believe that my truck weighs 6050 (GVWR) - 1893 (cargo/occupants max) = 4157 lbs. According to Cars.com my specific ranger weighs 4145 lbs (pretty close to the sticker calculation) and my on my Washington title that just arrived it states the Scale Weight is 4022 lbs..... Maybe part of the confusion is with an 18 gallon fuel capacity that weighs 6 lbs/gallon that is 108 lbs. Anyone have any insight on all this or ever weigh their truck?

Update on 3/8 - Mystery solved, stopped by the Waste Mgmt scales today, truck weighs 4139 lbs with 7/8 of a tank of gas, my Real Truck TonnoPro tonneau cover (maybe 15 lbs tops), and a 7'ish lb Dee Zee bumper step. Using the 2 stickers on the drivers door jamb (GVWR 6050 - max cargo/occupants 1893 = 4157 lbs) was really close.

About once every 6 weeks or so I have to make a run to the local dump for a recycle drop off, and you have to run across a weight scale. Weight usually averages around 4400-4500 lbs...that with me (185 lbs), full tank of gas, around 100 lbs of stuff I carry in the bed, and maybe 50 lbs of recyclable's.
So, empty I'd say close to #2 of Dave's post.
Might be a bit heavier next time as I went to some heavier 10 ply rated tires, maybe 10-15 lbs more per tire.

It will.also depend on all the options you gor from the factory. The fancier it is the heavier it gets. That said a good fuel of thumb is to subtract cargo weight limit from the GVWR as that will get you the closest. If you have it sometime the title will tell you the curb weight as well.

Yeah, but what does Dave know? According to Road Sumo, he’s driving one of the “heaviest trucks in the world.” ;)

It’s a handy resource even with the few errors in the article.

Wonder if Item #2 is supposed to be a 4x4 thus explaining why its 223 lbs heavier?

Don't think there is going to be a "standard" weight number....as posted, depends on options/accessories/packages. Simply adding a tow package would add 50 or so lbs for the weight of the hitch. Different wheel/tire packages could add 10 lbs per tire/wheel.
Weighing with an empty fuel tank or a full fuel tank would mean a difference of almost 120 lbs. (gas at 6 lbs per gallon)
If it matters and it's that important, just run your truck over a scale and that will give you the correct weight...for YOUR Ranger.

Mine has the tow package so I'm sure that adds 50'ish lbs. My previous truck was a 2015 Tacoma 4 cyl with 4 spd automatic that supposedly weighed 3645 or about 500 lbs less than the Ranger. Sure the 10 spd tranny and maybe heavier frame are part of the Ranger weighing more but on the other hand the Ranger has some aluminum parts.

my 4wd supercab lariat weighs almost exactly 4400 pounds half tank gas tow package. Stock tires. Your original calc is probably really close.

I've got corner scales... I can put the truck on them this week and tell you exactly what it weighs.

This was with my RZR 900 S:
