That is incorrect, the shop manual shows a pressure sensor. The PCM actually regulates the engine oil pressure using the oil pressure sensor as feedback. I have seen the actual oil pressure readout in PSI using Forscan.

Some additional info that I found on the subject.
Here is an excerpt from the shop manual:

"Engine Oil Pressure Sensor
The engine oil pressure sensor is hardwired to the PCM through voltage reference (VREF), signal and return circuits. The PCM provides the sensor voltage supply on the VREF circuit and monitors the change in voltage through the signal and return circuits as the engine oil pressure changes."

This indicates the way the PCM measures the oil pressure.

Thanks for the information. I sent a copy to ScanGauge to see if there is a way to display it. It sure would be nice to have available..

Scan Guage says it won't be available on the ScanGauge. Is there another similar option that will show it. If there is I'll send this back.

Today I installed part of an intrusion beam kit. With my 275s on the new wheels with the offset they are, I was getting a little rubbing. Installing these is no fun at all. I'm only doing the rear bars and I have 2 hours into just the driver side and still have to do the passenger side. I ended up not cutting the one beam I did manage to get out. I actually took a hammer to the corner of the fender that interferes with the beam coming out and tapped it a little out of the way. It's totally covered by the fender flares. The fender flares pretty much came apart when I tried to pry them off. Very cheaply made. The pop-pins for holding in the inner fender liner are terrible - they wont unscrew. I had to risk breaking them (I did a couple) and ended up prying them out.

But, I eked out a little clearance.

Part two of installing the BDS intrusion beams. Today went a lot faster! I think I got the passenger side done in 30 to 40 minutes; compared to the driver side taking 2 hours. I took a couple more pics for those wondering if you can do this without cutting the old beams as described in the photos.

I originally attacked the driver side intrusion beam with my reciprocating saw and it chewed up the blade and only just scratched the beam. So I hit the corner of the fender in the wheel opening with a hammer to bash it out of the way. Sounds terrible, but it was only a couple of quick hits, a spray of paint to prevent rust where the hammer knocked the paint off, and the fender trim covers it all.

This is where the body panel interferes with removing the stock intrusion beam.

This was after four quick raps with the hammer. It gives you just enough to slide the stock intrusion beam out.

After applying a little paint to prevent rusting, and getting it all buttoned up back together, you can't see what I did at all.

Installed the BDS 1” shackle kit. I forgot to take measurements prior to the install, but post install/settling/torquing bolts the drivers side ground to bottom of the fender flare is 38 5/8”. Passenger side ground to bottom of fender flare is 39 1/4”.
