Noob to the Trucks

INTRO: Name is Dave, officially an older Fart, Dirty old man, and A mustang guy. Had 2 Cobras now down to 1, Had 2 Escapes (2015 and 2019) now down to none. Sold them both to Carmax for a premium price and picked up the Ranger and a 2023 Ford Edge Titanium. Last vehicles we will likely buy before we are either dead or can't drive anymore LOL

well on Tursday and Friday we did a thing: 2023 Ranger Lariat Fx4 with the off road package, Tech Package, Tow package and the Jungle Splash Edition. I have wanted a Ranger for awhile and finally bit the bullet. I have ordered Letter inserts for the Tailgate, Husky floor mats & a sunscreen.

Plans for now are line/x spray in bedliner, 25% tint on the front windows, and UV tint on the windshield. Not going to change the wheels, or do a tune altho that might come later. I kind of like using cheaper gas LOL

It was a tough call between this and the Hot Pepper Red which I was in love with until I saw the green LOL

Green is an excellent color. Many custom tunes and off the shelf tuners will tune for 87 octane. I have one, huge difference. Its like a 5 cylinder now!

And if your new to trucks, remember it's basically a wheel barrow with an engine! Thats how I explain it to my non-truck friends as I throw bags of gravel into it and they look at me like im crazy because its new.

so what did that do to your gas mileage ? and how does Ford look at Tunes on these trucks? I know the the Mustang world they are taking pains to make sure they know if a tune has been put on it

Thank you ... I gotta say it looks much better in person that it does in Pictures ... I was going to get custom plates for it but "booger" was not available (they are crazy expensive anyway). Was telling buddy at work about the plate idea :
Me: yah tried to get the plate "BOOGER" but it wasn't available
Him: Really? I have a friend name Booger
Me: I was thinking booger more in the line of Snot Green variety
Him: walking away laughing .. you are sick Dave ... just sick

and an aside both Shyte and Shite are available. My money says they wouldn't last long before being recalled however
