Very nice! Anyone can do the outside and interiors. The underhood and undercarriage take dedication.
And way too much time.
You do drive that thing right?

“either way im now stuck paying payments on a truck i love but no longer trust to get me home from the places i wanna go.”
Exactly how I feel. Trans issues, crappy suspension (dealer replaced both front struts at 7k due to leaking) and I replaced the rears. Brake pedal travel and inability to modulate smoothly, 15% less fuel mileage than what is stated (5% less if I run 91 octane) All you can do is get rid of it or fix it yourself with your own money. Swapping the trans pan, greasing the split shaft splines or going to a solid shaft, replacing suspension, running high octane with a tune, Living with the crazy brakes, and knowing that you will likely be replacing the battery every 2-3 years…..It’s ridiculous.
the transmission is the first real problem ive had. i was thinking maybe i got lucky. any car or truck could have some issues while the one behind it on the assembly line comes out fine.

Yes...I drive it. But not when it's raining.

The undercarriage took half a day.

I placed the truck on some ramps. Washed it 1st then used an air dryer. Then I applied the dressing. Huge difference once you are done. I had to use cotton swabs for the hard to reach places.

That’s weird that they didn’t call. Was the zero issues email from the app? The app has a section to tell you if there are issues but I’m sure it’s only if something throws a major code and is produced automatically. Feel like the dealer should have called you with what info they did or didn’t find.
When you get it back you could drive it hard and put it through its paces and go from there. Ask for a ride along with the tech and show him exactly what the truck is doing. May be worth asking when you pick it up how long they drove the truck. Mention the mileage. Many people have reported shifting issues with these truck and I really doubt that there are thousands of faulty transmissions. I’d wage it’s something else like programming errors, EGR sensors, low fluid, sticking valve bodies causing many of these issues. I seen posts (not just on here) with many people all asking why their transmission shifts like crap. Many say tunes fix the issues, some say it’s low fluid levels, others it was a solenoid. When troubleshooting machinery I always started with least invasive/simple probable issues and worked my way up from there. Unfortunately I don’t think many techs can troubleshoot these newer vehicles very well. Much is the same in every industry. But if they had the truck multiple days, I would expect them to really be looking it over. That’s the whole reason we schedule appointments rather than just bring it down on a whim. Sorry to hear that they may not be doing much. Keep us updated.
im not sure honestly. ive never gotten any emails or texts from the app until the alarm triggered one recently. i think you are correct that it starts as a programming issue or something else minor. but, i feel like miles down the road the small issue starts to "eat" the transmission. i dont mind how long they keep it (within reason) just want it fixed.

 I do have a good excuse though...I'm just waiting for 303 to make an engine cleaner.:whew:
You are way ahead of me. I think I've cleaned the inside twice and the windshield 3 times in the 3 yrs I've had it. And of course it only gets an occasional hand wash in the summer but I do spray down the engine compartment so it look pretty good in there.
Underneath is a mix of dirt, dust, street grime, rust and still some original paint left.

Don't they make a general cleaner? I use simple green myself.
I use that sh!t on everything. Cleans the grill and stove pretty good. Oil drips on the garage floor or drive, spray a little on it, let it go to work and rinse it off. Use it in an ultrasonic cleaner for greasy car parts.

Dont forget the hood bumpers and weather strip (although, yours may have these, my '22 did not).
Luckily mine had those and even the ignition beauty ring. Just no darn engine dress cover and now they are 175.00 because rumor has it that ford stopped manufacturing them.

By the time I get done with the outside and the inside I'm wiped out. I have good intensions of doing the engine bay but it ends there. lol
