I wanted to add the engine cover next. Has anyone noticed that they have been marked up over 300% from last year?? My dealer is at 175.00 without the bolts. They were $50.00 last year sans the 6.00 bolts

found out just now by email / ford pass ap, (zero communication from dealer since drop off last week) that my truck is has zero issues. they set off the alarm, ? and did a 180 in the dealer lot. then parked it and took lunch. I know the exact mileage from when i dropped it off. according to ford pass the truck has not even clicked off another mile. im not a tech, mechanic, or type of engineer. however, if i was wanting to see if a transmission had problems i would at least drive the vehicle around for several miles. I have beaten the horse past death and afterlife about how much dealer service has hosed me so i will not start up except one thought lol. if my 5g was not under warranty - instead i was a cash paying customer -i would bet Abigail would but up on the lift getting the transmission removed for rebuild, a 6000.00 dollar repair bill like Sid got would be waiting for me... i admit to having pessimistic tendencies, but had hoped so much this would not be a run around. i wanted to post how the dealer found the problem and its taken care of. a shinning endorsement would have been in order. maybe they simply could not find or replicate the problem and im jumpin on the "karen wagon" too soon. either way im now stuck paying payments on a truck i love but no longer trust to get me home from the places i wanna go. my 4g is the daily beater. the 5g i got to go explore, find trails and enjoy the little time i get off. 99% of the time im alone and yall have seen my pictures - tow trucks are not gonna come out to places like that get me when the transmission decides to give up and i cant get the truck back to pavement or a road with a name. i get a week off in march. its the first vacation ive taken since 2006. was planning to go the ouchita mtns and camp / explore the trails and forest roads. im complaining too much yes lol its a truck not a kidney. but im sad. ive really enjoyed the 5g. now i dont trust it. so for those that are still reading my complaint lol - what should i do now? keep it drive with anxiety waiting on the trans to roach, get rid of it and move on, or go to bat with ford or ford dealer?
That’s weird that they didn’t call. Was the zero issues email from the app? The app has a section to tell you if there are issues but I’m sure it’s only if something throws a major code and is produced automatically. Feel like the dealer should have called you with what info they did or didn’t find.
When you get it back you could drive it hard and put it through its paces and go from there. Ask for a ride along with the tech and show him exactly what the truck is doing. May be worth asking when you pick it up how long they drove the truck. Mention the mileage. Many people have reported shifting issues with these truck and I really doubt that there are thousands of faulty transmissions. I’d wage it’s something else like programming errors, EGR sensors, low fluid, sticking valve bodies causing many of these issues. I seen posts (not just on here) with many people all asking why their transmission shifts like crap. Many say tunes fix the issues, some say it’s low fluid levels, others it was a solenoid. When troubleshooting machinery I always started with least invasive/simple probable issues and worked my way up from there. Unfortunately I don’t think many techs can troubleshoot these newer vehicles very well. Much is the same in every industry. But if they had the truck multiple days, I would expect them to really be looking it over. That’s the whole reason we schedule appointments rather than just bring it down on a whim. Sorry to hear that they may not be doing much. Keep us updated.

Dont forget the hood bumpers and weather strip (although, yours may have these, my '22 did not).

Finally I installed my Putco Front Grill insert. Looks so much better. Almost OEM. Only took 6 months

Keep all the paperwork where they said it's fine. Drive it like normal. If it breaks then take it back with the paperwork. If they refuse to make it right then call the regional manager. Escalate if needed but usually the regional manager or even just the treat to call them gets results.

“either way im now stuck paying payments on a truck i love but no longer trust to get me home from the places i wanna go.”
Exactly how I feel. Trans issues, crappy suspension (dealer replaced both front struts at 7k due to leaking) and I replaced the rears. Brake pedal travel and inability to modulate smoothly, 15% less fuel mileage than what is stated (5% less if I run 91 octane) All you can do is get rid of it or fix it yourself with your own money. Swapping the trans pan, greasing the split shaft splines or going to a solid shaft, replacing suspension, running high octane with a tune, Living with the crazy brakes, and knowing that you will likely be replacing the battery every 2-3 years…..It’s ridiculous.
My brakes don't seem to modulate well either. My brakes will engage harder the slower I go... Like it ignores my pedal pressure.

My front struts seem to be giving up the ghost at 6k too, noticed some wheel bounce over some potholes.

Transmission on mine seems weird but fine, so I'm not worried about it yet. Also expected the MPG to be off, though I get less than my brothers V8 silverado...

Ah well, I waited 8 months to get it so I'm gonna tough it out while the warranty is active.
