I just wanted to say if you're debating on getting one, I would do it. For, me it was an absolute GAME CHANGER. My truck had mild vibrations and low speed shudder ever since I got it new with 8 miles, so there were problems already to begin with. I was okay with it at that time, but when I stepped up to my 6" lift, the vibrations got exponentially worse. Long story short, the ordering process was seamless and the item arrived fast and was packaged really well. After installing it, the change was immediate. I haven't taken the truck up to highway speed yet, but I would imagine that it would be the same as (sub 60mph). No shudder, no vibrations, and no problems. My truck is now enjoyable to drive again!

Big thanks to you and your team @Shawn at Tom Wood's

Glad to see it helped and you can now enjoy driving your Ranger again. There's nothing worse than having to deal with problems especially ones that are hard to figure out and rectify. Sounds like Shawn has a great product for our Rangers and it will help out others who have the same issues.

I want one but well out of my price range. Nothing against TW, just don't have the income for it.

My trucks shakes have gotten little worse over time, so we'll see if I reach that "mastercard it is" limit.

Totally understand! Things are crazy with the current state of the economy and inflation...I hear you man.

The price as listed on their website is $699. For me, I had to pay for shipping to Hawaii. Unfortunately, where I live there's no other options! Regardless, for me working a couple of extra shifts at work to get this was well worth it. Hope that helps.

Same. It's on my medium-term to-do list. Mine isn't real bad and no shudder starting out but having the wheels balanced multiple times doesn't seem to help much.

Once you go with a TW solid driveshaft, you will never go back... and you will wonder why you didn't do it sooner. I have had mine well above the speed limit and it is smooth as silk! No shakes or rattles, just smooth riding!

FYI! My Ford 2 piece driveshaft is still available for free to whoever wants it.

What did the vibrations you had feel like? Mines going in in a few weeks for a droning harmonic wavelike sound at 50-60 mph. I’m thinking either front axle unbalanced (I fall just out of the bulletin for it) or it the two piece driveshaft doing it’s thing. I do have a minor start up shudder as well so a TW drive shaft may be my the future at some point.

I'm happy to hear that the shaft worked well for you. You know something, your post came at a funny coincidental time. Just a few days ago I was talking to a colleague about how some new products are a hit and some are a dud but we just don't know for sure until we bring the product to market. I used these Ranger shafts as an example and was saying that we may soon pull the plug on this experiment. We're still going to wait a little while and see how well these perform for people on average but we've had a couple customers recently for whom the shaft did not fix their vibrations, bringing down the average success rate. Also, when we first developed these shafts it was after hearing from people and seeing forum threads which made me think that there was a significant problem with these trucks. I thought that the few people I talked to were just the tip of the iceberg. Now, after having the shaft available for some time, I am starting to think that the 20 or so people who I've seen/heard complain of drive shaft shudders might have just been a vocal minority, not the tip of any considerable iceberg. Either that or people still have a lot of hesitancy ordering a 1-piece replacement. The point being, we haven't sold as many as I thought and probably ordered way too much inventory of parts and had too many of the flange spacer/bushings made. This one might be a dud. From a business perspective that sucks, we certainly don't like to invest money and time into new products that just sit on the shelf. But then again there is no success without trying and with enough tries comes a few failures. But then I saw your post and how enthusiastic you are about the improvement that our drive shaft made in your Truck. From a non-economic perspective, of just helping people find a solution to a problem, this becomes a bit of a quality>quantity story for me. In which when it works it works very well and people are very happy with the results. This gives me hesitation about potentially pulling it from the market.

I think your product is definitely helping some who have this issue. One thing to remember is the forum only has 15K members and some onlookers from non members. I don't think the majority of those who have this problem know about your 1 piece DS and even know there's a potential fix for it. If you haven't already try some of the social media sites like Facebook, YouTube and Instagram. It seems like many turn there now a days then to forums. Hopefully they see this and it'll be a win both you both!

What is this problem everyone's talking about?
From the OP:

Plus a whole thread on it here.

I think it happens more than you realize. However, this is a large chunk of money and... people are not always willing to step away from that much money. Plus, there are some who are disparaging to this type of step away from the almighty Ford engineers.

I have the shudder, but its not bad enough to invest in the shaft yet, but its on my radar.
