If this is deemed better merged with previous tune threads, by all means.
Today I went to download factory tune, and being paranoid about battery voltage dropping to low, I hooked up my 1 amp charger. I put the driver window down, reached in and started the download and saw by my 12V outlet plug-in voltmeter that it was already low 12's. I thought well I can't do anything now, just let it roll. After a few minutes, I walked aroung the front of the truck to take a piss, (I live in the foothills, I can piss anywhere I want) and since the hood was up, I heard a humming noise coming from the area near the coolant tank. When the download was complete, voltage read about 12.08V, and the humming stopped. The battery voltage also started to recover, to about 12.3V.
Anybody know what the noise was?

It's been doing that lately when I flash as well. Didn't use to. Seems weird, but can't explain it. Maybe @Livernois Motorsports can chime in

The stock tune download went flawlessly despite the noise and the fear of dropping below 12V, which I don't know what the risks are.

Ya. Mine works fine each time. I just worry that something is going to wear out. It certainly doesn't sound good.

I just finally got a PC (used a friends PC originally) and updated the Mycal. I flashed the 91-93 performance tune and didn't hear any noises but I also didn't have the hood open. This was a week ago and everything seems to be running normal like it did before when I had that tune in. Looking forward to seeing what @Livernois Motorsports has to say about it too.

So I noticed that the trip info was all reset to zero after the stock tune download. What else does it reset, BMS?

So I got an email yesterday saying my tunes were ready. Connected MyCalibrator and the only tune that showed up was the 87-93 tow tune. WTF?
So I installed the one and only tunetoday , went flawlessly. Went for about 1.5 mile drive just to make sure it's driveable. Although the shifts were a little wierd, it definitely had more get up and go. Hope the shifting will adjust ovet the next few drives. And I hope I get the rest of the tunes I paid for.

The shifts do settle down after a while. I just reflashed the 91-93 performance tune last week after updating everything with my new PC. It was shifting pretty hard the first few days but has settled way down now. You could've called Livernois this morning and told them you didn't get all the tunes as they're open on Saturday. Wait until you try the 91-93 performance tune it'll put a smile on your face for sure. ?

Sounds like from the transmission threads if you go through the relearn drive cycle it should help settle the rough shifying after the reflash.

I wouldn't say they were rough, just weird timing. Again, I have only driven it about 1.5 miles so far.

I wish it wouldn't keep resetring the trip and MPG info when it's reflashed. It resets that, the trans learning and what else, BMS?

I don't recall mine ever getting reset and I just did it last week. You might want to ask Livernois about it if you call them on the other tunes.

Mine resets all the info as well. Each flash does a reset. I use trip 2 to track mileage and time on an oil change and that was all thrown out the window when I started playing with tunes.

That said.. my trans still slams into 5th when semi warm after plenty of time for a relearn. It had gotten worse actually. More miles seems to make it worse. It still shifts down to 8th weird at any temp odd.... and sounds like a VW diesel when ambient temps are between 52 and 59 degrees.. :/

Other than that. Super happy.
