Dealer ignoring me on my emails asking for a VIN so I decided to turn to Ford online chat. Originally was told I had a Jan 31st production date, but now they stated production is starting today. Wouldn't give me my VIN saying its not been assigned yet even though the previous rep told me it had a VIN. I don't even know what is true anymore! Taking the production date of today with a grain of salt.

When you place the order, they should have given you a build sheet with Order Code, and Priority code. You should have signed it. Ill post mine in here later for you. Some dealers if they are not very good, will put your order in as one of their inventory orders. Gotta watch out for some of those dealers. Mine is a Very good Dealer here in Orlando, Fl. Not the biggest but is a very good dealership that my wife and I have been going to for years. Congrats! to those that received their vehicles fast. When I left my dealership the priority code was a 10. That meant that my order was set to High Priority, so by the time I got home I had an email from Ford with my VIN number and a thanks for your order.

I had a VIN# one week after ordering in early Dec and mine is "scheduled" for week of Feb6. You prob have a VIN. Did you get an official order email from Ford?

Canadian orders don't get the email updates unfortunately, which is ridiculous. All communication has to come through the dealer or online chat.

Unless something has changed in their system, which I highly doubt, you can't schedule a unit for production without a VIN. So if your truck really is getting produced today, it has a VIN.

I would go up to the dealership and request your Order Code along with your order sheet and VIN#
Explain to them that Ford Customer Service informed you that if you placed a special order you should have gotten all of this. Here I will attach a copy of mine....

This Form ALSO would lock in your MSRP price as well, when ordered... Don't let them tell you that is only if you finance through Ford Finance either.

This essentially gives Ford 3 months to complete all 2023 orders, including those just placed. The odds of that happening? Slim and none....and Slim left town. No discount for next year's model for someone who waited months for a 2023 and got shut out? Can you say "bait and switch"?

Or, they predict they can complete all the builds that have been ordered due to low demand...

Oh just because the order banks are closed doesn't mean there not getting there Rangers. There going to finish production. Correction they are not closed! Sorry

I have faith that Ford will finish out strong. Especially this last Gen, and current orders. I am seeing some dealerships now receiving a couple 23 rangers JUST NOW lol So Ford does prioritize its private customers.

Ford Authority said it was Jan 26th at 10:00pm EST. Did Ford end up closing it earlier?
