What did you do to your Ranger today?

Finally got around to mounting on the highway tires, Michelin Pilot Sport 4. It’s crazy how smooth the ride becomes when you don’t have all terrain tires on. Still have yet to test how well these hook… but loving them so far and had to give a quick wash.

I would also ask what type of grease was used? I had a teacher when going for my ase say best grease to use for offroad use is marine grade. it has the same for temp wise but is better at fighting moisture.

The same can be said for Stabil. Use the Marine Stabil instead of the regular stuff.

(But not too easy - couldn’t resist floor mats wash and floors vacuuming also if windshield was done)
Just need to find really good glass cleaner which I have (after trying several), enough household paper, a daylight time and do this stupid stretching exercises series behind the wheel. And repeat. And repeat more. Done.
Oh, and if there is no matter what kind of bug or mosquito in my truck, it opens my criminal record if passenger happens to kill one against windshield. No one touches it.
Now let’s keep hating the job

If you can get your hands on stones glass cleaner that's my goto.

A few hints are to flip the microfiber often, use all the sides of it - start with it folded into a square and work small sections of the windshield at a time - i do, driver, middle and passenger. I use at least 3 towels for the interior, and 2 or 3 for exterior (depends if I just washed the car or I'm just doing the windshield).

Ohh also, make sure you go in one direction inside, and the other direction outside - Ie up/down or left/right. This makes chasing those streaks easier to figure out what side they're on.

Cover the entire section you're cleaning with cleaner - it really costs pennies at the end of the day and being able to see clearly can be the literal difference in seeing something, and not.


Ohh, or just hire someone to do it and bitch at them if it's not clean. ?

Installed the UPR oil catch can on the ’23 today. The tamper-proof crankcase vent hose fittings were a PITA but everything else was a breeze.

UPR was the catch can I am debating on getting. In the mean time I got new shoes and rims too. Tremor Rims and Cooper AT3 4S tires. Everything needs a good bath which I will do this weekend.

Volvo is mine 2 days. It’s just the gas station caused little scratch with dent from October at one side of the bed.
Volvo seems impressive for me in many ways.
But I want my truck. I want interesting not boring.
