I use 24 inch soft loop straps to "extend" the tie downs. I have to remember to pull them up before loading and they aren't as strong as the tie down points, but it lets me tie things down a little easier.

In this previously posted pic, you can see that I have doubled them for the middle tie down so that the ratchet strap clip wasn't pressing on the compressor.

With them doubled, I can clip at the tie down, at the end of the first one, or at the end of the second one (good for large brush piles).

I also like retractable straps because I can attach the end of it to the tie down before loading on the one side.

These straps only have a 1,500 pound rating but I only use them for brush and for things that probably would never bounce out of the bed.

Did the second most important thing that I'll ever do on an annual basis with Soupie!

The single most important thing will be done as soon as the rain and cold eases a little and the victorious photo shall be posted (of course!). =D ...

Soupie's 2023 dump* sticker!

* - for those sticklers, the "artisanal, locally-sourced, recycling center" =p
I thought it was the ### of times you were permitted to make a dump run this year......

WOW gas is still way over $4.00 a gallon here :frown:
It has been fluctuating 35 cents +/- over the past two months. I tend to not even pay attention since I get premium. I find that premium swings way different. Not even dependent on 87 octane prices. 87 could be the same at 2 different stations but 93 would be 10-20 cents higher at one vs the other.

At Sam's/Costco it was down to $2.89 for 87 and $3.05 for premium about a week ago. Now it's climbed back up to $3.05/$3.54 respectively.

Thats a deal for premium. Only a 50 cent increase over 87.
It's only 91 octane out here but it's much better than the $5.25/gal I paid back in June. :curse:

This was so tempting...

Racing fuel!

Get outta here - I'd be all over that (well, okay, maybe one tankful - it would probably blow up the Ranger's computer!).

On today's episode of "What did I do with my Ranger today?" I need to give a big shout out to Future Ford in Roseville CA....

They're booked out well into February but were able to sneak my truck in for a last minute look at my front suspension end.

Tech took a look, confirmed my passenger outer tie rod was toast, found the passenger CV boot was toasted in the process. Got it all taken care of under warranty in about 28 hours total.

So, today, I picked it up and brought it home with a clean bill of health ahead of my trip back to CO

Hi Max,

Something is wrong to have these two incidents on a 2022 Ranger. Will you elaborate on the Ranger usage prior to this damage report....

best,
Phil
