The other day I ordered Hot Pepper Red touch up at my local Ford dealer, code EA, since I have a few chips (very few) and wanted to use up some points. It came in today and they called me. OK, it dropped from 51 degrees overnight high, to 10 and still going down, so I drove over to town to pick it up. The paint was $23, not sure the points.

I got a yellow, then red, warning plus audio of a front right proximity alarm at an intersection, didn't see anything near the curb and it stopped when I turned the corner. Pulled in at the dealer and I got it again, nothing around. Got my paint, and asked the service mgr about this and he said there may be dirt on the sensor, but I checked them and they were clear. He said maybe the cold weather, so I said I would drive it a while and keep an eye on it. When I left, I got a backup alarm, then a front right alarm again. Strange, it happened a few more times on the way home, and into the garage, when I usually get it from the oil tank on the right wall. Not sure if this is something unuusal or just due to the weather. It's 3 years this month and I never had this happen before, summer or winter! Warranty ran out Wednesday but I have an extended warranty just in case.

Got a call from my daughter. Her garage door wouldn't close. After trying to talk her through a few things to check, I said I'd be over. Good reason to go take a spin in the Ranger. On the way there, dug out a guy who cut a right turn too sharp and got stuck in the snow. Probably my last good deed for the year. Jumped on the highway and it wasn't too bad. Then got a low tire pressure warning. Damn, forgot to put the winter air in the tires, I'm still running summer air. Oh well, will fix that when its warmer. Got off the highway and going down a secondary highway and out of nowhere, started sliding, thought it was a flat at first, but pressures were the same. I think a combination of wind and ice made it a little squirrely. Put it in snow mode and no issues after that. Got to my daughters and adjusted the down force sensor on the opener and got the door to close. Had some fun on the way home turning off traction nannys and getting a little slideways. Windshield never completely defrosted though I had high defrost on most of the 50 minute round trip.
Guess tomorrow I'll be changing the air in my tires.

Don't forget the winter blinker fluid. When it's this cold, might have to put some anti-gel in it.

Used it as a nice outdoor work bench to assemble the gift I got for my parents this Xmas - a 48000 BTU outdoor patio warmer. They just redid their patio this summer and I'm excited to give it to them!

RETIRED!
I backed the Ranger out of the garage (along with the Escape and the F250)

Disassembled all of the fluorescent light fixtures, removed the ballasts and rewired the tombstones directly to the power wires. Installed new 24 watt, 3000 lumen, 5000K LED T8 lamps. INCREDIBLE difference.

Moved the Ranger and the other two vehicles back inside. First trip out fro the Ranger since early October.

Coming from maritime trades where if you attach a line to another vessel you assume 100% responsibility (If it sinks you buy it worst case) does anyone know the legal ramifications of yanking people out of ditches?
I have done it too but this just popped into my mostly empty head.
Pretty much the 5th thought that ran through my mind as I shackled up to the vehicles. Luckily they both had trailer hitches and were not stuck very far.

No lottery, Dave! I wish I could win though! Been reloading for years. Have multiple ammo cans in the basement......9mm, 45acp, 223 and 22LR. I have a 'supply' that will last me awhile. I already have the 100rds 45acp tumbled and reloaded back into an ammo can!
