As long as his quality fixes are retro active he's the man of the decade, the el deuce, shining star, miracle on 34th street, messiah, etc as I'd have my back covered should my heater box go bad . Didn't notice his spiel had any address to past screwups so I'm not holding my breath.

Pretty standard words out his mouth but perhaps he's fixin to announce another round of layoffs to shake the trees.

I read another article on this also. Ford has it's hands full fixing the mess they have created for themselves.

19f clear and sunny. Had deal with constant warning bells and displays saying my collision sensor was inopp . Frost does this.

Also appears only the bottom half of my aft glass defrosts, so I have a great view of my bed, but items behind the truck not so much

But you scrape the sensor area don't you? I may not scrape my entire windshield out of laziness, but I make sure the camera/sensor is clean.

No quality complaints here! Where’s the wood to knock on?
As far as my Ranger it's been flawless beside the HVAC issue, I think most things pre Covid were. I don't see the Rangers as having as many quality issues as the other lines. Just look at the Bronco which has numerous issue after issue. Heck the new MIC top (second design) is also having cracks and delaminating. Yes Ford contracts these out but you'd "think" after the mess they had with the first hardtops they could at least get the seconds ones done right.

No complaints either, but admittedly worry (too much) about the 2019 heater box potential for failing, previous posts I made met with some suggestions that it was more of a supplier quality issue and Ford tests rigorously to validate endurance of design but I wonder about that, irrespective I view it ultimately as a Ford issue. Had a number of HVAC box issues with 2 Saabs but one was repaired under warranty and most were blend door issues which could be repaired without tearing up the dash and completely replacing the box. The box was mostly designed by Valeo and it was a poor failure prone design.

I defrost whole windshield before moving. Love the remote start. On the taco I scraped a 2inch band and pretended I was driving a tank.

He also said they will start coming down hard on dealers who mark up their vehicles. That was almost a year ago and yet nothings happened. Dealers are still marking them up to ridiculous prices.

Ford CEO Farley cracking down hard on $3.6 billion dealer markups

https://www.foxbusiness.com/lifestyle/ford-cracking-down-3-6-billion-dealer-markups

Yes, and they also had this thing called COVP in place to ensure dealers were prioritizing real people orders rather than dealer stock, and that went out the window to where dealers are putting Rangers on their floor with markups rather than filling customer orders at MSRP.
.
Honestly, Ford can keep talking big, but doing what they say is on a similar level as politicians doing what they say.

The problem is that Fords have had heater box design and servo issues going on since the 1990's it's time enough to fix them. But the same issues just seem to carry over model after model.

ok - do you make that assertation from personal experience or ? just wondering where Ford stands in comparison to other makers. As I've stated in the past I'd prefer a manual control system, have only had one auto HVAC system in a car (1991 Taurus SHO) that worked satisfactorily and back then it was a simpler single zone system, highly likely the dual zone increase the issues. The current one in my Ranger is ok but being temp sensitive I often have to adjust the temp level plus when driving in 100 F temps had to use the manual fan control to keep the cabin cool. I'll be really p*ssed if the thing sh*ts the bed at some point.
